I gave their mobile number a ring first, but just got voicemail. No actual calls from them before this message popped up, just this text. Honestly, I’m a bit wary of these messages, so I wouldn’t dream of calling the premium number - they’ll probably charge you crazy rates as soon as you dial. Would be interested to know how exactly they scam people, though!

Got a text with some sort of reference number telling me to call that number straight away. I rang it but just got a message saying I’d contacted NMS and all the operators were currently busy. I ended up hanging up and just deleting the message.

Just got a text at 2:40 this afternoon with the exact same message. Never got a call though. It’s clearly a scam. I tried ringing BT about it, but they said there’s nothing they can do. Still, my landline got hit with a premium rate fee from that dodgy number.

Got a message from this number at about 4.37pm today. It read something like: “ATTENTION! We have been trying to reach you. It’s urgent you contact us today. Call 0844715195 and mention reference number 110390. Thanks.” Thought it was legit and rang the number straight away, even though I was on my mobile! Did not notice until after that it seemed dodgy. Also odd how everyone seems to get the same reference number. Bit suspicious if you ask me!

Well, if they’ve been trying so hard, it’s news to me as that number has never called or texted before. These lot are total scammers. No way am I calling those numbers or throwing around that ‘reference’ which seems to pop up in loads of similar complaints. Strange that everyone seems to have the same account or ref number, eh? They must think I’m daft or something. They can wait forever, I’m not falling for it.

Like others mentioned here, I didnt bother replying or ringing back since I didn’t know the number and it felt a bit dodgy. That said, the message makes it sound pretty urgent, so I get why some folks might rush to do what it says. The text was something like: "IMPORTANT we have attempted to reach you, it’s essential we talk today, Please call 08445715195 and mention reference 110390. Cheers."

WATCH OUT FOR THIS NUMBER!!! I got a message that said something like 'IMPORTANT! We've been trying to reach you, it's urgent we talk today, please ring 08445715195 and mention ref 110390'. I foolishly rang the number and ended up waiting on hold for about ten minutes. Then, a robot voice said 'No operators are free right now, please try again later'.
Turns out, BT told me this call is charged at £5.29 per minute, so that silly call ended up being nearly £60 for absolutely nothing.

This has scam written all over it and should definitely be reported!!

Got a text with ref number 110390 saying it was urgent to get in touch, but that was before I checked this forum. I called back from my mobile and all I got was a message saying “all our agents are busy, please hold, your call is important” with some music playing. This went on for around 5 to 10 minutes so I just gave up and hung up. Tried from my landline and the exact same thing happened. Now I’m left wondering three things: who exactly are these people? Is it some sort of scam? And most importantly, how can I stop them from contacting me?

Lately, I’ve been getting PPI messages and calls again after a 6 month break, could they be linked somehow? Really want to know who’s passing my details about without asking me!

Had the exact same issue, I reported them to Silent Guard as well. They send you a text and when you try calling back, you end up stuck on hold forever. Proper dodgy stuff! I even noticed their reference number was 110998 too, just like yours!!!

So, I just gave them a ring after going through these comments, but there was no reply. I left a voicemail saying something along the lines of 'URGENT! Received a message saying "we have attempted to reach you" but honestly, they hadn't tried calling, just sent a text? Seemed a bit SUSPICIOUS to me, so I looked into it first before responding.
