Got the same message that loads of others have mentioned here. I went on and filed a complaint with the ICO through their official page at www.ico.org.uk. If you’ve got that text too, you should really report it there. The more people who do, the higher the odds that the scammers get caught and dealt with properly.

Got a call from 07463 514544 telling me to ring 08445715198 and give them a ref number. Of course I didn't call back, sounded dodgy to me. If it was legit, they'd have told me who they were from straight away. Honestly, there seriously needs to be a easier way to block these scammy calls.

I got a message from +447463563779 saying "URGENT: We've been trying to reach you. Please ring 08445715198 today and mention ref 776510 - thanks." When I rang the number back, all I got was an answer machine saying "07463563779 can’t answer right now." Pretty sure it’s just some bot sending these out to random phones like mine. Not daft enough to ring the 0844 though.

I received the same message with the identical reference number earlier. I assumed it was from my physio's main office (they usually use an 08*** number), so I called back. After being put on hold, I heard a message saying all agents were busy. I tried to catch the company's name but couldn't. When I rang again to find out, it still wasn't clear who it was! Ended up deleting the message and definitely won’t be calling back.

Honestly, I’m fed up with these dodgy messages, so I’m sharing it everywhere I can. There’s gotta be some way to take legal action against these con artists, right?

I’d strongly advise steering well clear of this number. If you happen to call or message them, you’ll get stuck waiting ages on the line and end up being charged way too much. Honestly, it’s nothing but a scam, so just don’t bother with it at all.

It's such a tricky scam, and I wish I hadn’t replied with “who’s this” because now I’m worried it's just going to keep annoying me.
