Strangely, there were no missed calls on my device. The message originated from 07456 780013. Upon dialling the number, I was met with some hold music and a recorded message stating, "Thank you for calling NMS. Currently, all our advisors are occupied." I promptly hung up because I’ve never encountered an NMS before.

I’ve noticed a suspiciously similar ring tone on both my phone and my partner’s. I’m tempted to ring this number along with the reference 110987, but honestly, it feels like a massive con!

I received a rather urgent text message claiming they tried to ring us, but strangely, there were no missed calls on our end. Quite puzzling, isn't it?

If you get a message starting with "ATTENTION!" I really suggest you report it to the ICO through their website as a spam SMS.

Also, if your phone’s with O2 just forward the message to 7726 and they’ll check if it’s a scam or spam and take action.

I'm currently abroad and guessing calling this number back might be pricey. At the moment, I'm in the Middle East where calls cost about £1.50 per minute. When I tried returning the call, I ended up waiting in some kind of queue. Just wondering who actually gains from this and if there’s a bigger picture behind these calls?

Oddly enough, I didn’t see any missed calls on my phone. I tried dialling the number they gave, but just got put on hold with music and a voice saying, "Thank you for calling NMS. All advisors are busy right now." I ended the call quick since I've never come across NMS before.

Today at around 3.03pm, I got a message saying "IMPORTANT! We've been trying to reach you, it's urgent we talk today. Please ring 08445715197 and mention your reference ...(6 digit number)... Thanks." Right before I was about to dial them, I thought I'd better search the number online. Really glad I did, found loads of warnings on unknownphone about it. I've blocked the number now.
