Heads up - got a call from this number claiming there was some dodgy activity on our account. We just hung up and checked our bank statement, nothing unusual at all. Then, almost right after, another call came through, this time from a mobile number: 07785762106. It was an automated voice saying it was from "bank security department." These calls are probably linked, and I’d bet the first one was a spoof. Best advice is to simply hang up and ring your bank yourself, preferably from a different phone, using the number on the back of your card if you’re unsure about anything.

That number starting with (0333) isn’t actually Lloyds Bank, despite what it might seem. They keep ringing you up at strange times which is really annoying. Best thing to do is go straight to the official Lloyds website and check out their info on scams, or try their online chat assistant that connects you to a proper representative. Whatever you do, don’t give them any personal details!

I got a call from this number twice after I tried to pay for something from a company called Lulu lox last night. The payment was immediately refused by my bank because apparently, that place is a fraud. Then, these people left messages saying my payment had been declined and that I should call back to sort out my details. I didn’t call back, and instead rang up my bank’s fraud team this morning, and they told me straight away that the calls were not from Lloyd’s Bank. Definitely a scam.

Someone calling claiming to be from Lloyds bank, but it’s a total SCAM, really believable at first but Lloyds never ring you without warning. There’s people in the comments saying it’s fine to trust, but I don’t know about you, I’ve never had a genuine business call me, then looked up the number here and left a good review. Seems fishy and like fake comments to me. This number has called me loads in the past few days and luckily I didn’t answer as I’ve had no issues whatsoever with my account or card.

Received a call from this number on the 30th of April, 2024. They claimed to be from the "fraud department of my bank," but didn't bother to specify which bank. They went straight into it, alleging some suspicious transactions on a company debit card. The first thing they asked for was my name and date of birth. I simply replied with a curt "no," and hung up! Stay vigilant and whatever you do, don't share any personal information!

This number is legit. It’s Lloyds calling to check some activity on your account. If you don’t respond, they might lock your card for safety reasons. If you’re not sure, just call Lloyds customer service yourself to make sure this number’s real (I had to do the same after a suspicious online transaction triggered loads of calls).

This morning, I received a rather dubious call from this number. Without hesitation, I swiped to decline and subsequently added it to my blocked contacts to avoid any further nuisance. This is totally not one of those scam calls. Since I live abroad, they ring me quite often because I use my card and bank in ways that look unusual to them. They usually get in touch after stopping a payment from going ahead.

“Lloyds Fraud Team” yeah, right! First you get a text from what looks like Lloyds (pretty clever), then another from just a normal 07 number (don’t reply). Next, they ring you sayin’ a payment got declined and tryin’ to fish out your info. I ended the call straightaway cos it felt dodgy, they kept tryin’ to stop me hangin’ up, sayin’ I’d have to visit a branch and my account would be frozen for ages - it won’t! Just hang up and if you’re really worried, call Lloyds fraud team on their official number to check. Stay safe!

This number belongs to Lloyds fraud department. It's completely legit and safe to answer. I got a text from the bank warning me then they rang from this number. I rang back and they had the proper security checks. I hung up cause the wait to speak to someone was quite long. Then I called Lloyds straight from their app and the agent confirmed it’s a real number. Obviously if you're unsure, dont answer but double check online and ring back on a number from the Lloyds app like I did. I gotta say, Lloyds security is pretty solid!

Yeah, this is actually Lloyds Bank fraud team calling. You might have been hacked, and someone could be using your info to buy stuff. Not sure how they get your details, but this is for real. Just got a call from someone pretending to be Lloyds Bank fraud dept. Really slick trick - they used number spoofing to show Lloyds’ official number (the one on the back of my debit card) and even sent texts from ‘LloydsInfo’ at the same time (my real Lloyds texts come from lloydsbank). Rang Lloyds straight away and they said it wasn’t them calling. If you get a call warning about dodgy activity on your account, best to hang up and ring your bank yourself to check if it’s legit.

I got a call from Lloyds Bank fraud team about a suspicious transaction on my account. They just asked for my postcode and DOB to confirm who I was, didn’t ask for anything else. Felt legit to me.

I received a call from Lloyds Bank to inform me of some unusual activity on my account. They didn’t ask for any personal information but provided accurate details regarding my account. The gentleman I spoke with promptly cancelled my card and any fraudulent transactions, arranging for a replacement card to be sent my way. Given some of the comments I've come across, I decided to contact Lloyds' fraud department just to be sure. After speaking with two representatives, I was informed that my card had indeed been cancelled while I was on the line, and a new one had already been requested. So, for me, it wasn't a scam number at all. Best, from a satisfied customer in Stretton.

They claimed to be from Lloyds bank fraud team but couldn’t even say my first name right. Then they asked for some details so I just hung up. The line didn’t go dead straight away, it switched to an automated voice.

The problem now is scammers are copying real bank fraud dept numbers so you can’t really tell if the call is legit or a con. If your bank rings you, hear what they say but don’t do anything else except hang up. Make sure the line is clear, then ring your bank using the number on your card. Don’t put it off, cause if there’s an issue with your account you’ll need to sort it quickly. Just bear in mind banks have been cutting customer service staff because of Covid, so expect to wait ages before you get to speak to a real person.

This number has called me like 6 times today, I looked it up here and now I’m ignoring it and blocked it on my phone. But now they’re even ringing my landline, gonna have to report them soon.

I got a call about the same time as some texts saying I'd get a message about a payment. The text came through - £4 from Loveawaits ApS but payment got declined. Then I had a call that went straight to voicemail with a voice message telling me to ring this number back to approve the payment. Seems like a clever scam if that's what it is!

My phone didn’t even buzz since it flagged the call as possible scam, but the voicemail was like all the others, pretending to be Lloyds bank asking me to call a number to verify or cancel a card transaction. Thing is, I don’t even use that card, so it’d be really strange if it’d been stolen or cloned.

Got a call saying there was some strange activity on my bank card and asked me to press a to talk about it. This is proper annoying. Surely the police need to look into these calls - ive had over 3743 of them!!

Got three calls today on my home phone warning about possible fraud on my lloyds bank debit card. Rang the bank and they said they hadn’t called me at all. I also got a call about a week ago about a £600 transaction supposedly going to be taken from my card soon, and if I didn't make it, I was told to call back on a different number. No money has been taken out. All the messages were left on my answerphone as I never pick up if I don’t know the number.

0333 045 9561 rang me really early, left a voicemail saying it was Lloyd’s Bank about some fraudulent activity on my debit card. I checked my account and there was nothing dodgy. Planning to ring the bank when it opens and also report it to Action Fraud.
