My mum got a call from this number just after dawn, saying she’d misplaced her handbag which wasn’t true at all - she ended the call pretty quick. Seems fishy to me. Also, I got a few texts about payments but just deleted them straight away. Pretty sure Lloyds always mentions your name if they call!

Got a call from Lloyds bank fraud team today. Seemed a bit dodgy, so I decided to look them up first. Turns out it probably was a scam. Watch out if you get a call like that!

In May 2025, I got a call on my landline from Lloyds Bank's UK Fraud team checking a payment I tried to make in Turkey. The call was legit.

Got this weird message that looked like some sort of scrambled text, but all I could make out was something about Lloyds bank stopping my card. It came through twice very early Sunday morning, which seems odd for the bank to be calling at that time. Plus, I haven’t touched my card for months, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. I’ll give Lloyds a call on Monday just to be safe.

Not sure who that was, but seemed like a dodgy call! Might be a scam.

Got a message from this number and after ringing the customer service number on my bank card, I confirmed it was actually the Lloyds Bank fraud department. They informed me about several dodgy transactions they had stopped. While it seems legit, I guess scammers could copy this number too. If you’re unsure, best to ring Lloyds directly using the number on the back of your card, ideally from another phone just to be safe.

I got a message on my phone from a number pretending to be Lloyds, saying not to pick up calls about my credit card. Then, barely a minute after, a call came through to my landline. I know for sure Lloyds wouldn’t be sending texts or making calls like that.

I had my card used fraudulently, but luckily Lloyds caught it in time. Before I called, I double-checked the number through the message support on the Lloyds app just to be sure. They ended up cancelling my old card and posted me a replacement. Definitely legit.

I wasn’t sure about this number at first, so I reached out to Lloyds through their app. They confirmed it’s legit and told me it’s related to fraud prevention. So yeah, this number is definitely safe.

I received a call from 0333 045 9565 and discovered it's linked to Lloyds Bank. It turns out this is one of the many numbers they utilise to follow up with you if you've alerted them about a fraudulent incident. That said, it's always prudent to ring them back using the number provided on your card for verification. Better safe than sorry!

Received a call checking on two recent payments. I rang Lloyds and they confirmed they’d made the call. One of the payments was for a Google Pay account I didn’t set up, so it could’ve been fraud. They cancelled my card straight away. They told me I did the right thing by calling them back. Still, I can’t be 100% sure this number isn’t ever abused by scammers, so it’s always safer to ring your bank directly just to be sure.

I picked up this call and at first I thought someone was about to say something but then nothing, just silence for a bit before they hung up. I have no idea who they were. Just another annoying caller. Why bother ringing if you’re just gonna be useless?

I got a rather alarming email from Lloyds, claiming that Facebook's security had been breached and that someone was attempting to access my bank account for financial gain. The message included a phone number, which I can confirm is indeed legitimate. After having a word with them, I took the precaution of calling the official number listed on the back of my bank card. The agent I spoke to was able to confirm the name of the woman I'd talked to and reassured me that she had flagged my account. Always remember to ring the number found on your bank card to ensure everything's above board!

This isn’t the real Lloyds bank fraud number, it’s just pretending to be from Lloyds. Don’t ever share any bank info with them! Somehow, these scammers already had my sort code and account details and took £1.25, then tried to steal £5,000. Lloyds are aware of this scam. Just block the number straight away or risk losing your money to these fraudsters!

I’ve had a persistent nuisance attempting to pry my bank particulars and the three-digit security code from me. They even played a recorded message from Lloyds Bank to lend a facade of authenticity. I took the initiative to visit the official Lloyds Bank website to fetch the genuine number for their fraud department. Initially, the scammer introduced a charge of £1.25, and shortly after attempted to withdraw a staggering £5,000! I’ve since blocked that number on both my home and mobile devices. Please, do not share your banking information with this number!

I received a call from this number, and the message sounded quite convincing, claiming to be from Lloyds Bank's fraud department. However, it's nothing but a scam. If you're looking for the legitimate fraud department contact, it's best to head straight to the official Lloyds website. Don't fall for their clever ruse - it’s definitely a trickster at work!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds bank, after I made an online purchase which turned out dodgy. My real bank quickly blocked the payment and sent me a text warning me not to talk to anyone pretending to be them. Then, within a minute, I got another text saying it was Lloyds and asking me to reply 'yes'. I ignored that straight away. About five minutes later, I got a call from these scammers pretending to warn me about my card being used. Don’t fall for it! Total scam - stay well clear!

BE CAUTIOUS IF YOU GET A CALL CLAIMING TO BE FROM YOUR BANK!! When you ring your bank to verify the call (check out the comments below AND GIVE THEM A READ) the customer service agents usually know if the bank has tried to reach you and can put you through to the right team or help sort it out. Keep in mind, the staff might not recognise every single phone number the bank uses. Even if they say it’s a scam, that doesn’t always mean the number itself is dodgy. Spoofing of real company numbers is a big headache for both businesses and people like us.

Being a bit wary, I didn’t ring the number they left but instead called the number on my actual card. After a bit of waiting, I got through to Lloyds Fraud Team who verified the unauthorised transactions, cancelled my card and sorted me out with a replacement.

What a complete swindle! I received a pre-recorded message on both my mobile and home phone multiple times within a day, and they had the audacity to use my full name, middle name included! It was quite a believable ruse, but I wisely decided to hang up and verify with Lloyd's directly. Don’t be duped by this trickery!

Claimed to be calling from Lloyds Bank fraud team. HOWEVER, the person they said was the account owner right at the beginning wasn’t someone I know AND I don’t even hold an account with Lloyds Bank!

I received a call from this number on the 1st of September, 2022. They claimed to be from Halifax, suggesting there was some suspicious activity on my account. It was an automated message initially, and while I waited for them to transfer me, I heard them mention they were quite busy and would assist me shortly. However, sensing it might be a scam, I decided to hang up.

Today alone, I’ve already received three calls, and it struck me that Lloyds had made it clear they would NEVER reach out to discuss any issues. This is definitely not a legitimate call from the Lloyds Fraud Department. Just a heads up to everyone! Proud Lloyds customer

I received a call from 03330459565, claiming there was an issue with my account and requesting that I ring them back. However, after logging into my account online, I found absolutely no signs of any problems as they indicated. I can only conclude it was a dodgy scam call.

Yeah, I can confirm this was Lloyds calling to offer extra security measures after my card got declined. I got a bit worried when they told me to press various numbers for options though.

I'm in a bit of a quandary over this number-can't quite tell whether it's dodgy or if it genuinely belongs to Lloyds concerning fraud. It's baffling, really, as I've come across mixed opinions; some folks swear it's a scam, while others insist it’s the real deal. Just the other day, I attempted to make a purchase on Facebook, and my transaction got declined for no apparent reason. I then tried to settle a bill with my card, but that also went awry. To top it off, I received a call from this number about half an hour later. They left a message but didn’t bother to mention who it was supposedly from! Quite the mystery, isn't it?

I received a call from the number 0333 045 9565 not once, but twice in a single day. The voice on the other end wasn’t human; rather, it was a robotic system. To my surprise, it addressed me by my full name and even mentioned the last four digits of my debit card. Then, it went on to ask me to enter my date of birth. I thought better of it and chose to hang up instead. Lo and behold, half an hour later, the same number reached out again. This time, the automated voice instructed me to return the call to the same number. Out of sheer curiosity, I did so, only to be greeted with the same routine. It referred to me by my full name again, mentioned my card details and declared it was a fraud check. As soon as it asked for my DOB yet again, I promptly terminated the call. Now, for a bit of context: my wife had made a purchase on Vinted without mentioning it to me. Vinted processed a 10 pence charge to verify my card, but didn’t take the actual payment. Following this, I received a standard message from Lloyds asking if the transaction was indeed mine, which I overlooked as I was in the dark about the purchase. Just a couple of hours later, I picked up that call from the aforementioned number. After this rather alarming sequence of events, I took it upon myself to contact Lloyds’ fraud department. The gentleman I spoke to confirmed that it was indeed them reaching out from the number 0333 045 9565, a consequence of me ignoring their previous verification SMS.

This is a legit number from Lloyd’s Bank. However, scammers have faked calls from pretty much all banks’ numbers nowadays. Don’t just block these calls straight away. Loads of people on here have given really good advice on how to handle them.

The call came from Lloyds. I double-checked by ringing their Fraud Protection line I found online. But the agent told me I should phone them back using the official numbers on their site instead of calling the number that showed up on my missed calls.

I got a bit wary, so I rang my bank - but I didn’t use the number on my caller ID, I used the one on the back of my debit card instead. Turns out it was actually a proper call from Lloyds. I even got a couple of texts from them afterwards. Never ring back the number that contacted you, cos scammers can fake the caller ID to make it look like it’s from your bank. If you call the number on your card, you’ll definitely get through to your bank, and they can tell you if they’ve been trying to get in touch. They spotted a dodgy payment and stopped it, so all good.

I've had several calls from this number purporting to be from Lloyds Bank, urging me to enter my details to prevent fraudulent transactions. It's rather odd considering I only used my Lloyds card the very next day at Office Shoe Shop, Monki, and Urban Outfitters. Could be mere coincidence, but it does make you wonder how they’re aware I even have an account with Lloyds in the first place!

Recently, I received a call from a number that requested my date of birth. It dawned on me that there was an attempt at scamming me. Earlier in the day, I had been in the midst of purchasing an item priced at £42.99, but shockingly I was billed £195.00 instead. Thankfully, my bank intervened and halted the transaction just in time.
