Got a call today from a woman saying she was with Lloyds Bank, asking about a payment that supposedly got declined. Funny thing was, there actually was a declined payment earlier, which I’d already noticed, so it made me suspicious how she found that out. This number has rung me three times just this past hour. They keep talking about a name that’s only ever been mentioned by me once, linked to an online Asda order that never went through. THIS ISN'T A FRAUD - I called the bank using a number I already had and knew was legit. After looking up the number online, it checked out as theirs. Turns out it was their fraud team, they thought my card details might have been stolen and had stopped a transaction. They were just trying to reach me to make sure the payment was actually mine. It's really just the bank trying to keep us safe from scammers!!!

Dont worry, this number aint a scam! I got two calls from it, but cos it showed "Suspected Fraud" I ignored them. Later, Lloyds Bank texted me saying they’d tried to ring and asked me to call back. I phoned my local Lloyds branch first just to check, and they said that’s their official number for fraud-related matters with accounts and cards. So yeah, this number is legit, no need to be alarmed!

Im feeling really annoyed and a bit harassed. Got a call earlier with a message warning me about some fraud on my bank card, but they didn't mention my bank or even my name. Within just a few hours, this number rang us five times - both on our home phone and mobiles. We didn’t pick up any of the calls, but they did leave a voicemail claiming our bank account was at risk and instructed us to press any key. We just ignored everything and let the answering machine deal with it. Got a call on my mobile, they gave the full name of a Lloyds debit card holder and even read out the card number, asking me to ring back, then sent a text as well. This wasn’t the official Lloyds fraud number. I rang the fraud line printed on the card and found out someone tried to use the card but the bank stopped it. They cancelled the card and sent me a replacement. Definitely worth the effort to check it out.

At 2010 hours on 2nd February 2024, a recorded message from a female voice addressed Mrs. Spratt, who happened to be one of the joint account holders. The message mentioned a declined payment and requested her to "press any button" to proceed. Recognizing it to be a clear scam, the call was promptly terminated and the number was blocked.

Got a call from Lloyds Bank fraud team, seemed like an automated message. I was in the middle of doing a payment over the phone, but they blocked it for safety reasons. They said they were from Lloyds Bank and had spotted some dodgy transactions on my debit card. The message told me to press any button to speak to their fraud department, but I didn’t press anything. After a while, it just ended and said I should ring the fraud team back on 03330459559 as soon as possible.

Got a text from a number that wasnt lloyds usual one. Normally lloyds always put your name in their texts. So I replied like normal, then the message told me to call a different number. I checked that number out and it brought me to this site… definitely a scam.

Sounds like Lloyds for sure. Lucky they rang me up. I’d just put £1 down for something online, but then saw they’d taken £24.90 instead. About 5 minutes later, I got a call from a woman who cancelled my card straight away and said they’d send a replacement. This telephone number is not a fraudulent attempt impersonating your bank; it is indeed your bank, specifically Lloyds Bank's anti-fraud department. They have been extremely helpful to me.

This number really belongs to the Lloyds Bank Fraud team. I spoke to them today because they wanted to check on some strange payments made on my account (all legit, but I was pleased they were watching out for anything odd and double checking). My advice is, if you get a message from a ‘bank’ number you don’t recognise, make sure any earlier call has properly ended before calling your bank back using their official number (like the one on your card).

I’ve had some trouble with a supposed Trading Agent dealing in bitcoin & currencies, called Voytegon. They kept asking for personal info, which I refused to give. After a quiet month, they rang again yesterday with the same questions. I said no again and they sounded annoyed. Now out of nowhere this number calls asking for my dob, even though they said earlier they wouldn’t ask for anything personal. Feels pretty suspicious to me.

This number sent me a couple of messages in the night, pretending to be Lloyds Bank and saying there was suspicious activity on my account. They even mentioned the last four digits of my card and my full name. After that, I got calls from the same number with an automated voice repeating my name and card details. DO NOT TRUST IT! I rang my bank directly using 159, spoke to someone in the team who confirmed there was no problem and told me it was a SCAM. NEVER RING THIS NUMBER BACK or share any info. Always contact your bank through official channels and verify everything properly.

Then, to “prove” it’s genuine and not a scam, they say they won’t ask for personal info, but all I need to do is type in my DOB as a 6-digit number. This number is from Lloyds fraud team, wasnt sure at first so i called and its legit. Someone in the states used my card on Christmas at ESTY.com. Lloyds acted fast and sorted a full refund for me. So yeah, they are who they claim to be.

I'm extremely confused by the comments I received. We recently made a small transaction for legitimate reasons, but then we received a prerecorded message from what I assumed to be Lloyds security team. The message was checking if the purchase was valid and asked me to press any key on the phone to proceed with the checks. Feeling suspicious, I hung up the phone because the last two digits of the caller's number were different from the official Lloyds number listed on their website. I attempted to call this number back, but encountered a long waiting queue, so I gave up. It is rather concerning that if there are suspicions of ongoing fraud and our bank account is at risk, we should be able to urgently speak with someone instead of being placed on a lengthy hold queue while our account is potentially emptied.
