I keep getting calls from Lloyds Bank about some suspicious payment they want to check. It’s perfectly legitimate, but my phone’s blocked the number since it’s been flagged for fraud a lot. Could folks maybe mark these calls as safe, so I stop missing them? Would be really helpful!

Over the course of a day, I got multiple calls from this number but since it wasn’t saved in my contacts, my phone’s call blocking feature stopped them unless they said who they were. I reckon they’re using some sort of auto dialler that can’t handle the blocking. After all those attempts, I’ve just blocked the number for good, so hopefully they won’t bother me anymore.

Got a call supposedly from Lloyds Bank saying they'd tried to take money but it didn't go through. I told the bank about it and made sure to block the number straight away.

Got a call from this number earlier, so I looked it up here and it said it was from a bank. I checked all my accounts and there was nothing suspicious. Then it rang again about an hour later, and when I picked up, the caller claimed to be from Lloyds Bank and said it was about my daughter (gave her full name) and said this was her landline. I rang her straight away, and she told me her card was okay, but she’d had to cancel a few Uber payments the night before. So, the call was actually legit after all.

Over the span of a couple of hours, I received three automated calls saying my card payment didn't go through and to press any key to fix it. When this was happening, I was actually at work without my phone or card, so it definitely wasn’t me. They did leave some voicemails, though the last one got disconnected halfway. Turned out it really was them, the fraud team at Lloyds, letting me know someone tried to use my card for a £0.00 payment for IMMORTAL LACES. Even though it was no money this time, it was a phishing attempt that the bank caught and blocked. They’ve sent me a new card now. The call and number were legit, all from Lloyds.

I’ve received six calls from this number between Sunday night around 9pm and Monday morning about 9:30, plus a voicemail as well. The calls seem to come from a mobile number, 00447401182971… definitely not Lloyds. A few days ago, I tried to buy some trainers online but Lloyds declined the payment because they didn’t trust the website. Maybe that's why these calls are happening.

They told me there'd been loads of fraud on my account from places like Aberdeen or Manchester. They tricked me into confirming some changes I didn’t agree to, then started taking money out. This number really is Lloyds Bank. My phone shows it as 'possible spam', likely because folks have reported it to '7726'. You should NEVER report legit business numbers to 7726, even if scammers have faked the number and you got a dodgy call from it. Doing that might stop some people from getting crucial alerts. Nothing’s more important than a call from your bank’s fraud department. There’s advice here on how to tell if a call is genuine. And please, don’t ever click a link unless you’re absolutely certain it’s safe and legit.

Scammers are using the same female voice that Lloyds Bank uses, making the call sound very real and trustworthy. They also send texts pretending to be from Lloyds. One of the mobile numbers connected to the scam is 07401 260953, from which they send a message that looks legit saying something like "Lloyds Bank has detected a payment on your debit card ending 0155 on 05-02-2023 at Hand T Loan Centre 3 for £13301.38. This transaction was declined. If this was you, reply YES, if not, reply NO. No need to call us, replying to this message is the fastest way to update your account."

If you recieve a scam text from this number (bear in mind fraudsters often fake bank numbers, so the text might not actually come from this number), make sure to take a screenshot and send it to '[email protected]'. All types of messaging scams - emails, texts, WhatsApps and so on - should be forwarded to this official scam report service. You might get a reply from these police folk sometimes. I've been bombarded with phone calls today, every hour on the hour starting from ten past nine this morning. The first was an automated voice message purporting to be from Lloyds Bank, warning me about some dodgy activity on my debit card. After that, at ten past ten and eleven past ten, they rang again but left no message - I never pick up. A quick check on my banking app shows nothing out of the ordinary. However, I did make a hotel reservation last night, and I can't see that charge on my statement yet. Could it be linked? I'm not sure. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled and will reach out to the hotel to see if the payment has gone through.

Got a call from a lady who sounded proper professional, left me a voicemail mentioning some details that seemed like my ID. She told me to ring back on what she said was Lloyds Bank’s general phone number. I double-checked with Lloyds myself and they said it definitely wasn’t them. Total scam.

Someone phoned saying they were from Lloyds about fraud. Just before, I had a payment fail to go through. I rang Lloyds on their official number and found out they actually were trying to reach me. I reckon for others, someone else tried using their details, triggered the alert, and the rightful owner got a similar call. Still, it’s always better to be cautious than risk anything.

03330459564 called me several times on both my mobile and landline! At first, I almost believed it was legitimate since the recorded voice knew my full name and I had just done some banking online. But something didn’t feel right, so I phoned the bank directly and they told me it was a con! They’ve cancelled my card and sent me a new one now, so I’m stuck without a working debit card for the time being.

It's from Lloyds Bank. I recently acquired a fresh O2 mobile with my debit card. Naturally, I let the call go to voicemail, but just a couple of minutes later, I received a text requesting confirmation for a payment of xxxx that was supposedly sent to O2 moments ago. Quite suspect, isn’t it? How would they even know that?

It was Lloyds calling. I didn’t pick up at first cause it sounded like a robot and it kept calling loads. After a few days, I called Lloyds myself since some payments weren’t going through, turns out it was them trying to contact me all along. They really should’ve just sent a message on the online banking app!

Just got a call from 03330459564 saying it was Lloyds Bank Fraud team. We phoned Lloyds back on our normal number (definitely not this one) and they said they didnt try to get in touch with us. This number is a total scam, so watch out! They kept ringing over and over again.
