Got a text last night supposedly from Lloyds Bank asking if I’d made a purchase on some site I’ve never even heard of. It told me to press Y if I wanted more info. I sent the message straight to 7726, which is what Lloyds says to do. Now today this number keeps ringing and I missed a few calls. They even left a voicemail saying: ‘We declined a transaction using your card, please press any key to do a quick fraud check. Thanks, 03330459558.’ Feels a bit dodgy to me!

Watch out, this number is dodgy. My dad picked up when this number rang him, unlike me who just ignored it. They sounded really convincing, even knew his full name and mentioned a failed payment that needed retrying. He actually fell for it at first. Luckily, he called me straight away to see if the money from the supposed failed payment had been refunded. That’s when I realised it was a con and told him straight away. I also handed him the contact for the bank’s fraud team, who sorted things by cancelling a transaction and his card. Gave him a proper telling off after that too!

I got a legit automated call from Lloyds Bank about two payments on my debit card they found suspicious. They even mentioned other recent transactions that only Lloyds would be aware of. They gave the last four digits of my card and just asked for my date of birth to verify. If you get a similar call and just brush it off, your account might end up getting frozen by the bank.

I received a call claiming to be from the "Lloyds fraud prevention department". The woman on the line had an Asian-sounding accent. She informed me that they couldn't locate any connection between my account and my mobile number, and then proceeded to request my sort code. Without hesitation, I promptly ended the call.

Got a text then a few calls afterwards. They said they were from Lloyds Bank and that a transaction was declined, even gave the last 4 digits of the card. Problem is, I don’t even have an account or card with Lloyds! Obviously, I blocked the number and reported them straight away.

It was Lloyds checking if I’d sent a payment to the States. I was trying to pay for a kid’s education subscription. They rang me a couple of times and left an automatic message the second time. I logged into the app and saw they’d attempted to ring.

This is a legit Lloyds Bank number from the UK, normally used by their fraud team to get in touch if they spot anything fishy on your account. But be careful, scammers can fake this number too. If you're not sure, just end the call and ring the bank using the number on your card.

I got a call from this number right after I got a text from Lloyds saying a payment from my account was blocked due to possible fraud. I just ignored the call. When I called the bank to check, they confirmed a dodgy payment of £53 had been stopped, but also told me there’s another transaction of £921 still waiting. This number looks like some sort of scam pretending to be Lloyds. I’ll find out more tomorrow.

Im pretty sure it was actually Lloyds Bank calling, but I acted like it was a scam just to be safe, and honestly, thats probs the way to go. I ignored what the message told me to do and the next day my account got blocked. I had to ring up Lloyds fraud department and they sorted it out, but they never said what the issue was exactly.

Got an automated call pretending to be Lloyds Bank, right after I had two texts from them about supposed fraud on my account. I rang Lloyds Bank directly using the number in their app and had a chat with a really helpful guy there who confirmed there was no suspicious activity and even went through my last transaction with me. Always safest to double check by ringing the official number from your banking app or website, just in case.

I was a bit iffy about the message and call, wasn’t sure if it was really from Lloyds fraud department. Some folks said it was a scam, others said it wasn’t. So, I rang the number on the back of my card, the one I trust for sure. Turns out it was legit! Apparently, there were a few payments rejected that I didn’t authorise. They cancelled my card and are sending me a new one now. Definitely always best to ring the number on your card to be safe with stuff like this.

03330459558 is not to be trusted, this is a tricky Lloyd's Bank scam, don’t hand over any info or press anything. The genuine Lloyd’s Fraud team number is 03001232040, you can check it online. My partner got a call from this 0333 number and they even left a voicemail, which Lloyd’s bank never does. Stay safe!
