Has anyone managed to get a UK address for these folks? HMRC seems a bit secretive about this, doesn't it? If someone can tell me where they’re based, I’m happy to pop over and deal with the problem. Reach me at [email protected][###].

This number rang me earlier and it was one of those automated messages. It claimed to be from HMRC and said I was under investigation for fraud or something, then told me to press 1 to deal with it. They even warned I'd be arrested soon if I didn’t. I just hung up straight away.

It was just another robotic voice like the rest, so I ended up putting the phone down straight away.

Avoid this number, it’s a scammer pretending to be HMRC and making fake fraud threats. Block it fast or they’ll keep pestering you with lies.

Good thing I didn’t pick up, especially after seeing these comments. They rang me on the 28th of May, and I’m definitely on the TPS list.

I just got a ring from 03002002220, and they were going on about some bogus HMRC scam. Funny thing is, I’d only just filled out a tax form on the Gov.uk site not long before that.

Got a call saying it was from HMRC about some tax fraud, threatening arrest unless I pressed 1 to talk to someone. They'd never do that over the phone, they'd send a letter first. Bet loads of vulnerable folks fall for this rubbish. Absolute scumbags trying to scare people like that.

Today, I got a call from 0300 200 3337 too. The person on the line was claiming I was involved in tax fraud with HM Revenue and threatening me to settle £2200 outside of court. They said if I didn't pay that amount, I'd end up owing even more and could be arrested within 45 minutes. I ended the call straight away and reported it to the police. Just a warning to everyone, be careful with calls like this.

A person called pretending to be from the tax office which is obviously a scam (posing as tax officials) and they were also threatening me which felt like blackmail. You should definitely report this to https://reporting.actionfraud.police.uk, just do it as a guest unless you got ripped off. Keep trying the report link until you can get to the actual form.

Got a call from some American sounding robot voice claiming I had tax fraud issues and asking me to press 1. I just hung up straight away and blocked the number. I don’t normally pick up calls from unknown numbers and make sure to block them but this 0330 number has been calling repeatedly with the last 4 digits changing each time. Feels dodgy to me.
