Had a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, telling me I’d done tax fraud and if I didn’t press one right away there’d be a warrant out for me! 🤬 I’ve got anxiety and in a daze, I actually hit one. Then it just went to some hold music, so now I’m worried I’m gonna get hit with a huge phone bill from the scam. 🤬 This is awful, especially for folks like me who struggle with mental health! 🤬

Got a voicemail claiming it was HMRC saying I'd done some tax dodging and if I didn’t hit 1, I’d be arrested soon. I just ended the call straight away. HMRC usually contacts you through letters, not from a random mobile number! Definitely don’t press 1 - it could just link you to a premium number or something dodgy like that!

I got a call from 03002004693 saying they were from HMRC. It was an automated voice saying I was involved in tax fraud and if I didn’t press 1 I would be arrested immediately. I didn’t bother pressing anything and the call just cut off. Pretty fishy if you ask me.

I got a call from 0300 200 9035 and then 0300 200 2328, both times it was some automated message accusing me of tax fraud and telling me to press 1. When I did, a person just said hello and then ended the call straight away. Pretty sure it’s a scam, so don’t bother answering or pressing anything. Just block and forget about it.

got a call on my mobile from 0300 200 3181 and 0300 200 3312 saying they were from hmrc and had a warrant out for me because of fraud. total nonsense, obviously a scam. just ignore and block these numbers, not worth the hassle.

Im really thankful I checked the comments first. Ive blocked this number like four times already but it keeps managing to get around the block. I’m not feeling great lately and seeing unknown numbers freaks me out, especially cause they look so legit. Big thanks to everyone who’s picked up and warned others that it’s a scam. Honestly, these numbers ought to be banned, considering how many older or vulnerable folks like me struggle to block them.

I’ve had contact with this number twice now. The first occasion involved a bloke who was really rude and warned me that failing to reply would land me in big trouble. When I said I’d ring back, he gave me just an hour to do so. After that, I got in touch with the actual HMRC, who confirmed I don’t owe any tax at all. Honestly, these people are awful. I’ve since reported the matter to fraud action, following the advice from the genuine HMRC.

There was quite a wait then a polite man with a clear British accent said he’s from HMRC and told me there’s a warrant out for my arrest over fraud. He said to press 1 to resolve it quickly.
