I got a robo call pretending to be from HMRC telling me I owed money, then threatening arrest! When I picked up, some bloke with an Indian accent said, "Hello HMRC, how can I assist?" Just got a call from 0300 200 3334 claiming I owed £1800 and would face prosecution if I didn’t pay within 45 minutes. They even said because my kids were noisy in the background, social services would take them away if I didn’t comply. They told me to rush to the nearest Sainsbury’s to buy iTunes vouchers for that amount, saying a solicitor would be by the next day to pick them up. I hung up immediately and blocked the number, but then they tried messaging me on WhatsApp from a mobile number. Definitely a scam!
