Does anyone know who was calling? They didn’t drop a voicemail or anything. What kind of UK business rings up and then just hangs up without saying a word? I’m guessing it’s maybe some automated system just checking if the number is active or something.

This number rang me but I ignored it, no voicemail was left anyway. After seeing what others said about it, I’m relieved I didn’t pick up. Seems like it’s just a pointless call. - number: 0300 300 3315

I received a phone call from 0300 300 3315, and out of curiosity I called back. The person on the other end didn’t seem to have any clue about the situation, but as soon as I mentioned HMRC, they suddenly switched their attitude saying I was on some kind of tax fraud list. I told them my employer sorts my taxes, so this didn’t make any sense to me, then they just hung up. Honestly, it freaked me out at first, so I searched the number online and found this site confirming it’s a scam. Such an awful experience though. - caller: 0300 300 3315

So, this was a total scam. They claimed I had a £3,000 debt and when I asked for payment instructions, they told me to pop down to a cashpoint and put the money into their account. The woman also said she worked right behind the HMRC offices here in the UK, and get this - she said Donald Trump was her boss! Absolutely ridiculous. 😂😂😂

These muppets called me with some dodgy robotic voice claiming to be from 'HM Revenue and Customs', warned me that if I didn't hit '1' I'd end up nicked. I pressed it just to see what happens and the line just cut off. Is there any proper agency that can hunt these tossers down and stop 'em? - caller: D Jephcott
