I think some of these accident claim calls are just scams trying to fish for your details, but they cant give you any proper info to seem legit.

Some bloke rang saying he was from the Road Accident Helpline about a “recent accident” I supposedly had. I told him I hadn’t left the house coz of Covid-19 and that it was obviously a scam. Also told him to do one. Number’s now blocked.

Somebody called saying I'd been in a car crash. I told them I dont have a car, and they said it didnt matter coz I was just a passenger. When I tried to find out when it happened, she just blanked me and went back to her rehearsed lines, so I ended the call.

Quick idea though, once I'm back on my feet, I'll answer as mrs pen e say, spelled p####, who had a mishap with a doll he got from China on Ebay that ended up squashing his bits so now he has to transform because of it. Honestly, I should record the chat, it's hilarious and wastes their time, so that's one less nuisance or scammer out there lol. Got a call from a bloke claiming he was ringing about some payout for an accident I supposedly had in the past 18 months. When I asked for specifics, he said GDPR rules stopped him from sharing any details. Then, oddly, he said GDPR meant he couldn't even tell me my own name! I've never been in any accident! He said he was with A brokers who got info from the RTA, and the other driver was insured by Aviva, who apparently admitted fault. He said he’d check and get back to me with more info. I've just blocked the number now.
