Got a call from an Asian bloke claiming he was with some vehicle insurance company, saying I'd been in an accident recently. I told him I actually work as a car insurance claims handler and said his call was complete rubbish and pretty dodgy, then he just hung up. Seems like he wasn’t keen on talking to someone who really knows the insurance game.

Got a call from a guy with an asian accent claiming he was from The Insurance Administrators. (Never heard of them before). Pretty sure it was a scam, so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Dodgy call pretending to be from MT Solicitors about some kind of compensation. You can hear loads of background noise like a call centre, and the English was really bad. Just ended the call and blocked the number immediately.

Got a call saying they were from Viva insurance about a car accident supposedly in the past two years. I asked for their name and number, but they said they couldn’t share any “personal” info and that they got my details from some Vehicle Insurance group because of my “accident” which definitely never happened. They claimed they got my info from my Vehicle Insurance provider who told them about the accident, which never happened. When I kept asking questions, they just ended the call, haha. Someone called me saying they were from Aviva insurance, telling me I’d been in an accident and they were the other party involved. When I asked for more info and mentioned data protection laws, the bloke began threatening me with legal trouble. I asked for a case number, then he started swearing and just hung up. Definitely just blocked and ignored it!

My partner got a phone call from a bloke with an accent. He sounded polite and said "Good afternoon, how are you doing today?" He claimed to be from some sort of Traffic Management company and asked if she'd been in any accidents in the last year and a half. She said "No". Then he just said "Alright then, thanks, goodbye" and ended the call. Felt a bit like a scam or a sneaky marketing ploy. He didn’t ask for any personal info though.

Got a call from a stranger saying I was owed compensation for a crash with another driver insured by Avila. They were really pushy, even rang again after I hung up. Wouldn't say who they thought I was, or any details about the car, when or where the crash supposedly happened. Then, out of nowhere, they told me to “go f##k yourself” before ending the call. If there's any way to help stop this caller, please let me know.

Got a call from someone I didn’t recognise. They said I could get compensation for a crash they claimed involved another Avila insured driver. Really pushy, even rang me again after I ended the call. Wouldn’t say who they thought I was, which car was meant to be involved, or when and where this supposed accident happened. Finished by swearing at me and then hung up. Got a call from this number saying I’d been in a car crash. I told them I don’t even own a car, then the bloke said I was a passenger. Thing is, I do have a car and drive all the time. Knew right away it was a scam, so I just hung up. I’ve blocked the number now.

I’m not sure who tried calling me as I was in a Google Meet when the call came through, so I didn’t hear it - my phone doesn’t ring during those meetings. When I checked my call log, it showed up as a suspected spam call from this number, which called me at 10:32am today. They never tried to call again or even sent a message. After reading the other comments about this number, I definitely won’t be returning the call. I’m gonna block it and I’d recommend you do the same if it rings you - it’s just spam.
