There were posts on here on 15/12 about reporting scam calls to the police, but I reckon this might actually be a real survey or market research firm. If that's the case, then it's probably fine... BUT do we really want to share our personal details with some random cold caller? Sadly, with today's hi-tech VOIP systems and computer algorithms, nobody can be sure about unknown numbers ringing them. It’s a shame because it means that sometimes genuine and important calls might get missed or blocked.

Received a call from someone who seemed to know my name, claiming they were conducting a survey for TSB. As soon as I mentioned that I wasn’t keen on participating, they abruptly hung up. They appeared to be affiliated with a company named Motife.

I got a call from 08000803243 saying it was about a customer satisfaction survey linked to my visit at the local TSB branch. They just threw some basic questions like rating the service out of 10, nothing too personal or invasive. Sounded like a proper feedback check rather than anything dodgy.

I had an incredibly formal phone call this afternoon, where the caller insisted on verifying my personal information. When I inquired about the bank they claimed to represent, they refused to divulge any details unless I first confirmed my name. I urge everyone to refrain from sharing any information with such callers-it's clearly a ruse to extract your personal data. Make sure to block the number and report it to 7726, as well as the relevant government anti-phishing unit. If we don’t report these suspicious activities, the anti-fraud teams remain unaware of them!

Got a call from some young guy who wanted to talk to me and he actually knew my name. When I asked what it was about, he said it had to do with my bank. So I asked which bank and he said he couldn’t tell me that for “security reasons.” That didn’t sit right, seemed proper dodgy to me, so I told him that wasn’t good enough and he ended up hanging up. Felt like a scam straight away.
