A lady rang me from 08000803240 talking about some survey, but I could tell it was dodgy right away. Then she got a bit irritated asking if I was the person linked to some bank account. Pretty obvious scam really. I'd say don't pick up if you see this number pop up, they just wanna know the phone is active. You'll just end up annoyed. Make sure you warn your mates and relatives about this number, its best to ignore it completely.

Definitely scammers. They were telling me I had a "Warrant for my arrest because of unpaid taxes". The number 08000803240 is linked to the provider "VoIP Unlimited". Got a call from a young lady around 9pm tonight, she asked me to verify my name and when I asked where she was ringing from, she mentioned my bank. Then she asked me again to confirm my name. I said yes, that’s me, but then she quickly ended the call and I blocked the number straight away. My partner told me they often pretend it’s a survey to try and keep you talking long enough to steal your details. I’ll be contacting my bank first thing in the morning to let them know about it.

Got two calls on separate days. First caller said they were from Wessex Water wanting to do a survey, I told them no and ended the call.
