I received a phone call from someone conducting a survey regarding the Bath Halifax branch. They inquired if I had visited on a specific date and whether I had a conversation with a certain staff member. They then asked me to rate the efficiency of the service on a scale of 0 to 10. Interestingly, the questions focused solely on the employee I interacted with, rather than any broader details. What’s concerning is the potential for someone to misuse my personal information to gain access to my account and possibly commit fraud.

Got a call from this number but the connection was rubbish. They said it was about going to a Lloyd’s branch I’ve never even been to. They had the right date but the branch and reason for the visit were completely wrong. I told her the line was so bad I couldn’t catch what she was saying, then she just said sorry and hung up.

This lady sounded really posh and knew my name, saying she wanted to ask about a recent complaint I made to my bank. Since I did make a complaint a week ago, I nearly believed it was real. But then she mentioned the bank branch in a totally different town. When I pointed that out, she just hung up immediately!

Like others mentioned, I just got a call while I was at the bank sorting out a problem. I never chat about money stuff on the phone, so I ended the call straight away. WATCH OUT!

Got a call that sounded really professional, they claimed to be from Lloyds Bank. They even knew the name of my Ltd company and said it was Lloyds where I bank, asking me to do a customer survey about a visit I made last Wednesday (which was true). The funny thing, from one angle, is that I was actually in my Lloyds branch when the call came through this morning. The staff there had no clue about any survey. BE WARNED!!!! Calls from this number come off very convincing and professional.

โ€ญ0800 080 3241โ€ฌ rang me just now. The person on the line already had my name and number, and mentioned I’d contacted the bank recently, which i did just a few days ago. I told him I’d talked to my financial adviser, even though I hadn’t, and he suddenly ended the call and said he’d be in touch soon! Don’t share any info. Please warn older folks who might not have a way to check these calls.

A very polite lady with a British accent called, asking for me by name. The phone line was really crackly, which made it really hard to hear her since I have hearing difficulties. She claimed to be from my bank regarding a query I supposedly made a couple of days ago. I haven’t left the house this past week, so that didn’t add up. When I told her I hadn’t made any enquiries, she apologised nicely and hung up. What worries me is she was so believable - she even knew which bank I use and my number. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

Had a lady with an English accent who was asking for my husband. She seemed pretty determined to speak only to him - said she was his financial advisor or something. I asked what kind of financial services she meant but then she just hung up on me.

They've kept ringing me non stop, really getting on my nerves (I just ignore them). Last night my boy answered and the woman said she was from the bank and asked if I’d like to do a survey, I told her no straight away.

A woman with a foreign accent called asking for either me or my husband by name, using the right title too. She claimed to be from the bank. I asked which bank she meant, but she said she could only say it to the person named. I told her I wouldn’t pass the message on unless she told me the bank’s name. She said thanks politely and ended the call. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

Got a call today at 7.10pm from a woman claiming to be doing network research. She asked about my visit to my bank last week, but I told her I hadn’t been there that day. Oddly enough, someone did pop in for me that day, so I’m baffled where they got such detailed info from. Even weirder, the same number rang my partner 10 minutes later asking about her experience with a different bank - and we don’t even share a last name. No idea how that made sense?

I received a call from someone insisting I verify my name, yet they were rather evasive about sharing theirs. They claimed to be reaching out on behalf of my bank but refused to elaborate due to not having my name verified. Just a young lady attempting to pull a fast one, if you ask me. It makes one wonder why the authorities dealing with cybercrime haven't taken action against the telecom companies for allowing these dodgy numbers to circulate.

Received a call on 15/02/2019, they wanted to speak to my partner using his name, but it’s actually my number. They claimed to be from TSB bank doing a survey. I’m gonna report this to both my phone company and TSB.

08000803441 - My dad got a ring from this number, they asked for me by name, claiming they were from my bank. When he told them to leave a message, they just said no and ended the call.

They claimed to be from Halifax and said they were giving out customer numbers for surveys after visits to a branch. The woman on the phone was clearly making it up and got all flustered when I asked her stuff.

This firm is a complete scam, never give them any info. They even knew who my bank was and claimed I’d visited a branch I don’t even live near. When I said that, they accused me of fraud and threatened to report me to my bank. I just ended the call straight away!

How do these people even get my full name? She mentioned something about going to a bank but refused to say which one. When I told her I wasn’t interested, she just ended the call.

Had a rude woman on the phone. Doesn’t matter who she was calling for, no reason to be so pushy. Felt like a scam, but I couldn’t be sure since I just hung up.

Noisy call centre trying to rip people off, beware.

Started off really pushy. Wanted to speak to my manager by name and said he was from our company’s real bank (which made me nervous). When I asked if he was actually calling straight from the bank, he admitted no, he was from some Network thing! When I kept pressing, he got louder and talked over me (proper rude). My boss stepped in and gave him a piece of her mind, but he just didn’t care at all! Sounded like he had a posh English accent too.

They claimed to be ringing from some bank, but never said which one, and wanted to talk to my son. Definitely a scam, as my son doesn’t get bank calls on this phone.

I'm proper fed up with these annoying phone calls, one guy even called my mum a right b####, how on earth do they still get away with this? They're all scammers and if they catch someone who's vunerable, who knows what might happen. I keep blocking them but they still manage to get through!!!

Got a call earlier that really felt a bit iffy. After looking at the comments here, maybe it wasn’t so bad. Still, with all the data protection rules nowadays, I’m shocked companies can keep personal names and phone numbers like that. It’s just not right.

My partner got a call from someone claiming to be from a "network" or something like that. They asked for me by name and said they wanted to do a survey about my latest visit to the bank. When he asked which bank it was, they wouldn’t say, claiming it was due to privacy reasons, and kept pushing to speak to me only. He asked nicely for their name, but they refused to say. After he told them he’d hang up unless they answered his questions, they still wouldn’t, so he just ended the call.

This number left me a voicemail despite me blocking it, cheers Vodafone for that. The message made no sense, just a bunch of young girls chatting about customers being rude and hanging up, wondering why they'd do that. Maybe because you lot keep pestering us, that’s why!

Got a call saying they were after feedback about my bank, but I instantly thought it was dodgy and just ended the call, then blocked the number. Always be careful - if you didn’t start the chat or a deal with your bank, be really wary.

Blimey, just got a call from someone saying "we’re ringing on behalf of your bank" so I asked them which bank I’m with. They clammed up and said they couldn’t say. I told them to name the bank and I’d confirm my identity, but of course they couldn’t. Then I told them they’re scammers and to jog on! Funny thing is, they never called again - bet you can guess why!

I answered the phone on the second ring, and the caller immediately mentioned my name, claiming to be conducting market research on behalf of my bank. I made it very clear that I do not engage with unsolicited callers. They appeared taken aback and simply acknowledged my position with a quick "OK." I've since added the number to my block list. Interestingly, my phone provider recommended that I occasionally pick up unfamiliar calls; they mentioned that not answering might suggest that the home is vacant, which could lead to that information being sold off. Quite concerning!

Whenever I pick up, I just hang up straight away. If it’s a genuine number, which is pretty rare, they’re usually from some market research company trying to get you to take a survey about some product or service you’ve never even heard of. Loads of nonsense.

So yesterday they were saying they were from my internet company, and today the same number rings up pretending to be from some bank! They keep asking, “Can we speak to Mr xxx?” I’m like, who’s this? Then they reply, “We’re from the bank but need to speak to Mr xxx!” This back and forth was getting ridiculous until I just told her, “Would you fancy sucking my plums?” And then, dead silence on the other end! Pretty sure that’s a no. Blocked the number straight away.

I got a call from 1830 earlier but didn’t pick up. Later, I checked the number and saw it’s connected to Halifax. I had contacted them a few days back about something, probably related to the service I got. Thing is, I told Halifax I wasn’t interested in any surveys about my experience.

Last week, after I had a chat at my bank, this number rang me the next day. They wanted to do a survey about how my visit went. They already had all the info like my branch, the bank’s name, and even the manager’s name. Didn’t ask for any personal stuff, just questions about how I felt about the service. It was a very polite and safe sounding call. From what I gathered, it was some kind of research firm, probably hired by the bank to get customer feedback.

This number kept ringing me loads the past few days, but when I finally picked up today, they just cut off straight away! Tried calling back and got an automated message saying it’s from a proper firm called Market Research, with a website you can check out for more details. Apparently, they do surveys for various companies, including Lloyds Bank, who I got in touch with not long ago. So, it might actually be genuine, but honestly, they’re pretty annoying and not very professional. What’s really annoying is there’s no way to stop them from calling!

Some bloke called, asking for my husband by his full name and claimed he was checking up on his pension setup. He was pretty vague about what he needed, and we'd just done a feedback form for that same company. When I asked why they were ringing as well, all I got was a sharp "No idea" in response. So I just ended the call then and there!

I got a call checking on the service after I set up a new account with the bank. They already had all my details and didn't ask me for anything else. The only thing they wanted was for me to give a rating on how I thought the bank handled everything.
