Got a call from someone pretending to be from HMRC, warning me that if I don’t pay my back taxes right away, the police would be coming to arrest me. I just ended the call straight away. Definitely a scam!

Got a robo call telling me to ring right away about a warrant for my arrest. Checked with the proper authorities and they confirmed it’s a scam! Don’t pick up, HMRC would never contact you like that!

Today I got a call with an automated message saying it was from HMRC, but I just hung up straight away. I thought if it was legit, they’d ring me again, but no calls came through after that.

Got this dodgy automated call from someone pretending to be HMRC saying I was involved in a tax fraud case and to press 1 to speak to them. Was gutted it wasn’t an actual person on the line, I’d have told them off proper! What a scam. :(

Just got a call from this number, sounded like some call centre in India with a dodgy robot voice pretending to be HMRC, warning about tax fraud. Seriously, HMRC always contacts you by letter first! Don’t even think about pressing option 7, just hang up immediately. It’s a scam, so watch out!

classic hmrc robocall trick. looks like this number is being faked to ring people and try ripping them off. If they manage to fool even one person, they could wipe out their whole bank account and make a killing! we've all heard about these scams, but imagine if an old or vulnerable person gets caught up in it? proper dangerous situation.
