This number rang me up claiming to be from HMRC, telling me I was involved in some fraud stuff. They had a recorded voice telling me to press 1 or else they’d send the police after me. Complete nonsense, total bunch of muppets.

Got a call from some robotic voice claiming to be from HRMC, threatening that if I don’t pay up, the police would be on my doorstep pronto. Like cops are hanging around here all the time! Total scam, so I just blocked the number straight away.

Just got a call saying I have a claim against me and if I don't press option 1, they’ll issue a warrant for my arrest. Honestly, was quite frightening. How on earth do they even have my phone number? What’s the point of all this? Does anyone have any idea?

Got a recorded call from HMRC warning me about fraud on my account! Honestly, I can’t see how anyone falls for this obvious scam. It’s so fake!

This has got to be a scam, HMRC always say they'll contact you through letters, never by phone. I keep getting these messages from someone called Lisa Williams saying I've got a case against me and I need to call back. It’s so annoying, especially when I’m working night shifts and these idiots keep bothering me.

Really pushy and tries to rush you, uses urgent tactics to catch people out. They give a bogus email for you to send info to - something like [email protected][###]. No official government office would use an address like that, so watch out!

My phone buzzed with a call from this number but I didn’t pick up since it was completely unknown to me. When I tried ringing back, the line wouldn’t go through and no message was left on my voicemail either, which made me suspicious right away. After checking out what others have said about this number, it seems pretty obvious it’s just spam. I’ve reached out to HMRC via email to check if this call was genuine. Thanks to the freedom of information act, they are required to respond with the truth.

Just got a call from the same old HMRC scam as my first call today. Yesterday they rang me from 0300 200 3344, now it's from 0300 200 3348. How come these scammers keep getting handed new phone numbers by the networks? Seems like they just keep switching to avoid being caught.

Got a call from some robotic American guy saying I have a warrant and they’re gonna arrest me. Total scam! HMRC never rings you - they always send letters or texts. I ignored it and blocked the number straight away. Don’t fall for it!

Recently got a call from 03002003348, and the caller said they were from HMRC. At first, a recorded voice warned me to press one or else I'd face jail time for tax fraud. I pressed one and was connected to a bloke who started asking questions, even asked me to confirm the first line of my address. I wasn't convinced, so I asked for a callback number since I wasn’t sure who I was dealing with. He tried to provide a number but then just ended the call.

Been getting calls from 102003348, some American-sounding person claiming to be from HMRC. They say I need to press 1 for more details or I’ll face instant criminal charges. It’s a pay-as-you-go phone which isn’t even registered. Seems fishy to me.

I received a rather dubious call from this number, claiming to be from HMRC, saying there was fraudulent activity linked to my account. The robotic voice warned that failure to press one to connect with an advisor could result in a warrant being issued for my arrest! Naturally, I found it all rather fishy and promptly disconnected the call.

I got a call from some robot with a weird American accent, just kept saying "hmre" or something. Then they told me to hit 1, but as soon as I did, the call dropped. Apparently, they claimed I was being looked into for fraud or something like that. Weird experience!
