Wow, I just had a proper scare this morning! I woke up to a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening to send the police if I didn't pay £100 straight away. My heart was racing. Luckily, I looked up the number on Google and found this site. Honestly, don’t give these scammers any cash - I’m still shaken but thankful I checked first.

They keep ringing me from a few different numbers now, proper annoying. At first, they somehow masked their calls as a real HMRC number, but now they’re just pestering me from this new one. Do yourself a favour - don’t pick up and just block them straight away!

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, threatening arrest if I didn’t hit 1. I just ended the call straight away. After that, I checked the official HMRC site, and they actually mention these scams and advise reporting the number. They also provide an email for reporting these dodgy calls.

Got a call from supposed HMRC about taxes, obviously a scam. Played along, cracked some jokes and answered their security checks with made-up info. Took about 5 mins before they hung up, probably cos they saw I was messing about. I always try to waste their time to stop them targeting folks who might actually fall for it. I got a call from someone claiming to be from HMRC saying I'm under investigation for tax fraud and that I owe £1430. They warned if I didn't pay up, they'd send someone to arrest me. Obviously, it was a bogus HMRC scam.

Got a call from 0300 200 3350 saying it was HMRC. They told me not to press 1 or I'd end up in prison. What a joke! As someone who's worked in law firms for ages, I know HMRC always send letters, never phone calls, and automated ones from them sound very suspicious. A while back, I got another call about PIP from the Ministry of Justice at about 8pm. Seriously? MOJ ringing that late? I asked for their contact info and department to verify, and they just hung up on me. Definitely scam calls!

Last week I got a call from almost the same number, just one digit off, and I decided not to pick up. After I blocked that number, they started calling from this one instead. It’s really annoying that people can keep doing this without anything happening to them. Such a rubbish way to bother folks!

Tried one of those HMRC tax scam calls, I messed about with 'em for like 5 minutes. As soon as they twigged I was taking the mick, they just hung up. I actually answered their security questions with made-up stuff lol. Honestly, I always drag these calls out to stop them wasting more time hassling people who might fall for it! It’s relentless, keeps coming no matter how many times I block 'em. Don’t buy into their nonsense about tax fraud - it’s a total scam. An automated voice threatening arrest if I don’t pay up.
