Got a call from someone pretending to be HRMC with a robotic American voice. They said I'd been caught for tax evasion and to hit 1 or I’d be arrested immediately. It’s absolutely horrible how they try to scare you. I worry about older or more vulnerable folks getting caught up in this nonsense and who knows what could happen to them!

Received a call from 03002003352 claiming to be HMRC. I checked with the police, and they told me they don't notify you if a warrant is out for you. Definitely seemed fishy.

Got a call from this number today claiming to be HMRC saying there was a tax enquiry on me. The voice was really bad, clearly a recorded message and sounded robotic. I only stayed on the line a bit before they told me to press 1 - that’s when I hung up. HMRC would never contact you like that. It’s so obvious this is a con, like loads of others have pointed out. Best thing is just to block and ignore.

Got a call just now from this number claiming I'd get arrested unless I pressed 1. It's shocking how some folks think it's okay to make threats over the phone. Honestly, don’t hit any keys except hang up and block straight away.

It's a scam pretending to be HMRC and threatening to arrest you. Don't fall for it, they won't actually come for you. Just ignore it.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be HMRC. It's mad what scammers come up with nowadays. There was this robotic voice saying my name was involved in some fraud case and if I didn’t ‘press 1’ I’d risk being arrested. Honestly, I doubt the real HMRC would give you a heads-up like that before showing up!

Just got a call from a number nearly the same as one that rang me five mins earlier, only the very last digit switched from 1 to 2. The one ending with 1 was already marked as a scammer, so I reckon this one’s dodgy too.

Hi all, just to let you know, i got the exact same call the other day. They usually try to say that an HMRC officer has visited your home but you didn’t answer. Don’t fall for that because HMRC never just turns up without sending a letter first. They always send something through the post to let you know before they come. So, whatever you do, don’t give out your bank info! Stay safe, thanks.

Got a voicemail sayin I had to press 1 if I wanted to talk to HMRC, otherwise I’d get arrested over some warrant they claimed was out in my name. Total scam, I think.

I just got a call from this number where they were claiming I owed £1,400 and that I needed to sort out a lawyer or else I'd be arrested. Honestly, it’s totally a scam. If you get a ring from them, don’t freak out or believe what they say, it’s just a trick to scare you into paying money. Stay safe and don’t fall for it!
