Got a call from this number with a robotic voice saying I’m being accused of tax evasion and if I don’t ring back and press 1 to pay right away, they’ll send a warrant for my arrest. Obviously a scam. HMRC has info about these bogus calls on their site (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/phishing-and-bogus-emails-hm-revenue-and-customs-examples/phishing-emails-and-bogus-contact-hm-revenue-and-customs-examples). The number they called from was 0300 200 3061. Stay safe, don’t fall for it!

Today I got called twice from numbers that looked almost the same. I looked them up and found out from other people’s comments that it’s an HMRC scam. What’s funny is if you don’t pick up but try ringing them back, it just doesn’t ring and hangs up straight away. The number was something like 03002003061.
