03002003066 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03002003066 👆 is reported as a scam involving calls falsely claiming to be from HMRC, warning recipients of imminent arrest for tax fraud unless they press a number. These calls use realistic but spoofed phone numbers and often leave alarming voicemails. Recipients are advised not to answer or engage, especially not to press any buttons, as these are tactics to exploit or intimidate individuals, particularly vulnerable people. HMRC does not operate in this manner, and genuine communications would be far more professional and verifiable. Numerous reports highlight frustration and concern over repeated calls despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Authorities encourage reporting such incidents, though some feel enforcement against these fraudsters is lacking. Blocking the numbers and remaining vigilant is the best course of action.

Nobody wants to get calls threatening an arrest warrant, but this definitely isn’t how HMRC works. Sure, paying taxes can be a pain, but if there was an actual issue with my account, I’d think they’d send proper letters or emails first rather than just ringing up saying I’m about to be arrested. I can easily check things online, but imagine if someone less savvy got caught out by this? It’s really unfortunate.

Got a call from some muppet claiming HMRC was after me with an "immediate arrest warrant" - what a load of rubbish. They obviously haven’t got a clue where I live. I even tried calling back the number from another phone to have a proper chat, but guess what? The line just didn’t go through. Total waste of time.

I got a voicemail saying I'd be arrested for tax fraud if I didn't hit 1. Totally freaked me out! Honestly, these must be some sort of scammers.

Scammers really deserve to get a good kicking or for someone to just hang up on them immediately.

I've just put in a report on this site. Hopefully, if enough folks complain, something will actually get done... feels a bit hopeless though :(

Got a call earlier saying I had a warrant out for my arrest if I didn’t hit 1… the scary thing is someone who’s more vulnerable might actually believe it and press the button!!

The number looks almost like the genuine HMRC one, but trust me, it’s a total scam. No official tax department would leave a message like that on your phone. I’ve just blocked it straight away...

I got this recorded message claiming to be from HMRC, saying there's an arrest warrant out for me, and if I don’t press 1, I’ll be nabbed straight away. It’s a complete scam, honestly. I rang the police, who told me to report it to Fraud UK, but they don’t seem to be much help. When is the government or BT going to step up and stop these scammers making life miserable for ordinary folks?

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening me with arrest - yeah, right, like that's gonna happen. Anyone else get the feeling it's just some bloke messing about? Kinda sounds like John Humphrys from Radio 4, no joke. Makes me wonder if he's in on it or just a random coincidence.

I just got a rather alarming call where a robotic voice informed me about some supposed tax fraud situation. It insisted that I hit 1 for further details or risk being "arrested imminently." How quite theatrical! The number they used was 03002003066.
