Got a call from someone saying they're with HMRC. They told me if I fork out over £400 now, I can avoid court and paying ten times as much later. Just had my wife’s funeral a few weeks back, so I really didn’t need some polite-sounding man, with a slight accent, accusing me of fraud on four different charges. Didn’t even bother to get my name right - called me Mr (my first name)! It’s sad that some people are going to fall for this nonsense.
