Curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to ring that number from my landline, concealing my caller ID. An automated voice informed me that it was either RB Communications or RV Communications and provided an email address for those wishing to opt-out of their marketing communications. At that, I promptly ended the call. I took the liberty of investigating RB Communications and found there is indeed a company with that name, however, it’s located in Huddersfield and doesn’t appear to have any ties to the call I received. I also did a quick search on RV Communications and discovered that it's a business based in the USA. Quite the mystery!

Somebody kept saying they was from Carphone Warehouse, but I’ve never had anything to do with them. Told them loads of times to stop ringing me, but still they keep on. Definitely a scam, nothing to do with the real Carphone Warehouse.
