Later, I tried calling back the number from my landline while hiding my caller ID. An automated voice said something like RB Communications or maybe RV Communications, and gave an email for opting out of marketing calls. I hung up after that. When I googled RB Communications, I found a firm with that name but it’s in Huddersfield and seems unrelated to this call. As for RV Communications, it turns out that company is based in the US. So, still not sure who was really calling me!

Somebody kept saying they was from Carphone Warehouse, but I’ve never had anything to do with them. Told them loads of times to stop ringing me, but still they keep on. Definitely a scam, nothing to do with the real Carphone Warehouse.
