I got a call from an Asian guy who somehow had my full name and address, trying to pitch something about a washing machine I just bought. Makes me wonder if Currys PC World are sharing customer details or what. Strange and a bit worrying!

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying my washing machine warranty was about to expire and asked if I wanted to renew it. I told him we already have coverage for all our appliances and don’t need any extra warranties. Clearly a cheeky scam. Even after I said no, he kept pushing, so I bluntly told him to buzz off. Then he had the nerve to claim all calls were recorded - I just said I wasn’t bothered. Properly pushy sales tactics. Don’t be fooled by this nonsense!

They called me saying my washing machine insurance had run out and tried to get me to give them personal info. Definitely sounded like a phishing attempt.
