Got a call from 1865679146 claiming to be doing surveys in South London. I got a bit wary when the caller kept saying the same things over and over. Thankfully, I had my laptop handy and checked the number and the company behind it. Didn’t feel safe at all, so I just ended the call straight away and didn't take any chances.

Some bloke called Chris, said he was from "Residential Green Standards Centre" and started asking if I owned my place before going on about loft insulation. Then he rattled off some numbers, claiming it was a code for his manager who’d ring back in twenty minutes. I asked if they had a website so I could check them out, but he just kept replying, “My manager will give you that.” I asked a few times, same answer every time. I finally said I didn’t see why he couldn’t just tell me the site himself if they were a proper outfit. Then, without another word, he just hung up on me.

I tried to get some details from the caller to verify things but he just wouldn’t share anything. He clearly didn’t seem to know much about the pros and cons of insulation types, and wasn’t up for a proper chat either. It felt like all he wanted was to push for a house visit. I’d steer clear of this firm, it comes across as either pushy sales tactics dressed up in lies or maybe even a con.

I've received multiple unsolicited calls from an outfit called Residential Green, which seems to be an energy firm. However, I can’t shake the feeling it's a bit dodgy since I can't find any information about them on Companies House. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone saying they were with the ‘Residential Green Standards Centre’ in London. When I checked, there’s nowhere like that registered officially. The bloke hung up as soon as I asked about the company details. They tried to make it sound like some official government program, but really they were just pushing loft insulation spray, saying my current stuff was rubbish. Total scam if you ask me.

I’ve been receiving numerous calls from Bournemouth phone numbers, all supposedly from local energy advisers. I suspect it might be a scam. If you're in the same boat, it would be wise to report it to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Stay vigilant!

Got two calls earlier, one from 01202143578 and another from a very close number ending 86 - pretty sure they’re both from the same place. Not sure who they’re trying to be, as my call blocker stopped them straight away. It usually catches all these unwanted calls.

There was a bit of a silence, then a very polite guy who said his name was Chris told me he was my local energy advisor and asked if I was the owner of the house. When I told him that actually I wasn't the homeowner, he just wished me a good day and said bye.

Got a call from someone pushing a medical alert device - like a mobile phone with an emergency SIM for older folks who might fall or get hurt. The guy was British, but seemed a bit dodgy. He told my 84-year-old dad that if someone falls and no one checks on them within an hour, it could be deadly! Seriously, who says that to an elderly person out of nowhere? Felt like a pushy sales trick, probably aiming to swipe personal or bank info. They sound nice, but definitely just following a script. I'd say just ignore these calls. I've had enough of them now.

This number has rung me on a few occasions. There’s always a big pause like it’s some robot dialling, then a voice asks how I’m doing. They then say some government record says I’ve got old insulation in my attic. When I asked which government record they meant, all I got was vague babble. I ended it quickly, telling them I reckoned they were trying to scam me - I live in a flat with no loft at all!

Today I’ve had yet another call from a Bournemouth number, the fourth one this week that’s nearly the same but with tiny changes at the end. I’ve got around twenty like these on block now, all start the same and just differ by a digit or two. I never pick up, just chuck them on silent and block straight away. Honestly, I’m thinking of actually answering next time out of sheer frustration. These scam calls are getting really annoying.
