Just received a call from someone touting themselves as an energy specialist trying to sell loft insulation. Do yourselves a favour and steer clear of this one - it's nothing but a scam!

I received a staggering 12 calls from the number 01202143575 in just a single day! The individual on the other end claimed to be from Amazon, but it reeked of a scam. There was even someone in the background eavesdropping on the conversation. It's definitely a dodgy situation. For your own protection, please don't engage with this number!

Got a call from some bloke telling me I’d been approved for a free medical gadget or something. Not sure if it’s legit or just another scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be a home energy advisor. It felt like it was one of those scam robocalls. They asked if I owned the house, and when I replied 'no', the call just ended straight away. Seemed dodgy to me.

The voice sounded so robotic, it didn’t seem legit at all. I haven’t even mentioned anything about my power bills going up to anyone. Ended the call right away, whatever it was. Still, felt like I should double-check just in case.

I called back on a different number, just changing the last digit, but again, no answer, nobody picked up.

Seemed like a bit of a shady number, so I decided not to answer! Cheers for the heads-up! They've now been blocked!

It seems that there's been a mix-up with the insulation in my loft, and someone’s been trying to discuss the replacement with me. I tried to engage, but he was just following a script and wouldn't deviate from it. In the end, I told him where to shove it.

I received a call earlier today regarding loft installation that's apparently leading to damp issues in my home. They offered to conduct a complimentary survey of my loft. However, after a bit of digging on the internet, I discovered through Suffolk Trading Standards that this seems to be a scam. Best to avoid them! Interestingly, the person also claimed he was calling from a manager's number (01204770660), but didn't pick up when I tried to return the call.

He mentioned something about my loft insulation, claiming it was the outdated kind that leads to damp issues. But how on earth could he tell what I'd got up there? It all struck me as a bit suspect, so I decided to end the call.

Oh dear, what a right muppet I encountered from Bournemouth. He claimed he was in my neck of the woods to discuss energy saving measures. Quite amusingly, the moment I uttered a simple "Hello," he presumed he was chatting with the lord of the manor! When I pointed out, “You haven't a clue who you're conversing with, all based on my voice!” he promptly slammed the phone down on me! Now it’s a blocked number, but I have a nagging feeling they’ll be back with an alternative line. Isn't it a shame that the average Joe can’t flip the script on these charlatans? It’s infuriating! Grrrr!

I received a call from someone claiming I qualified for a personal alarm because of my health situation. I checked to make sure I was speaking to a live person before continuing the conversation. The caller proceeded to inquire about my health issues, stating that this alarm would be invaluable in case of a medical crisis, like a fall or sudden illness. He elaborated on the features of the device, mentioning that it had a value of £200 but would be provided at no cost, albeit with a monthly fee of £29 for usage. He requested my name and the first line of my address. When I mentioned I'd prefer to have it on a trial period, he then asked for my banking information to establish a direct debit. At that moment, my instincts kicked in, and I ended the call right away. He attempted to ring back, but my husband answered and made it clear we weren't interested. Could this be a scam, I wonder?

I got a call from someone saying they were an energy advisor from the government. Seemed a bit fishy to me.
