There’s a dodgy website claiming to be from a driveway company in Ipswich, but it’s all fake. You won’t find any phone numbers to get in touch with them on the site. They’re a real pain and somehow manage to get hold of unlisted numbers. Everything they do is fully automatic and both the police and trading standards have been informed about it.

Got a call from someone called John claiming he was from the driveway centre, talking about my drive. Problem is, I live in a flat with no driveway at all. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

Definitely a dodgy scam, they don't operate around here or anywhere else as far as I know. Honestly, the government and phone regulators should step in and put an end to these nuisance calls.

What I do is just keep the bloke chatting and chatting until he gets bored and stops ringing for a good long while. I've given up on all the other tricks because he always picks up the phone again. The best thing you can take off him is his own time - that's the one thing he really values!

I can only assume he was gearing up to pitch some spray foam solution. I told him he was talking utter nonsense and promptly disconnected the call!
