002030639321 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 002030639321 👆 is reported as an aggressive scam operation impersonating the Telephone Preference Service or similar organisations, aiming to extract bank or card details by using personal information like names, addresses, and billing details to appear credible. Callers often demand sensitive financial information, including card expiry dates, and become rude if refused. Despite their claims, legitimate agencies do not request such data nor initiate calls to update customer records. Many victims have noted repeated calls with increasing hostility, while some impostors threaten or make false claims, intensifying the intimidation. Users are strongly advised against sharing any personal or financial information. Genuine Telephone Preference Service (TPS) contact does not involve unsolicited calls requesting payment details. Vigilance and immediate disconnection are recommended upon suspicion.

This was totally new to me - bloke claimed he was from BT, used my full name and even my proper address, all spot on. He said I paid my bills by direct debit, which is right, and asked if I'd got fed up with all these annoying calls, also true. Then he told me my debit card was about to expire soon. He asked me to grab my card and read out some details, which I definitely said no to. Honestly, he had so much info, I can see how some folk might fall for it. Just a heads up - never ever share your debit or credit card info over the phone.

I got a few calls off someone claiming to be from the telephone preference service. They kept pushing for my credit card info, which I found really dodgy. Each time they rang, they sounded more and more aggressive.

I just got a call from that number, and it was all about “nuisance calls.” The woman on the other end sounded Asian and actually knew my name and address, so she definitely had my phone number too. She claimed to be from the telephone preference service and said they were updating my info to block unwanted calls. Then she went on to ask for my debit card expiry date. That’s when I told her straight up it was a scam and I don’t ever share my card details with strangers.

I got a call from a very impolite man with an Indian accent claiming he was from the telephone preference service. He asked if I was getting lots of nuisance calls. I said no, and he said that was great, proving their system must be working. Then he claimed my bill was paid by direct debit under my son’s name. I said that wasn’t true, so he asked again who was paying the direct debit. I had to make him repeat the question three times because he was getting frustrated. He then insisted on the name of the bill payer so he could update his records. That’s when I realised what was going on and refused to share any more information. He must've known I caught on because he oddly thanked me for my time and wished me a good day before hanging up. Strange behaviour, honestly!

Got a call today, 3rd October, from some Indian bloke who said his name was "Mark". He said he was from the Telephone Preference Service. I told him straight up he's a scammer and ended the call with a big "FOAD". Hope that ruffled his feathers!

I just got a call from this number claiming to be from some telephone preference service, asking if I wanted to block marketing calls. When I asked how they could tell if the calls were from salespeople, the bloke kept going on about my Visa card expiring in 2016. I told him that wasn’t true, but he insisted I get my Visa and give him the 6 digit number under my name. That’s when I knew straight away it was dodgy. I kept probing why he needed my bank sort code, and he then said it wasn’t my sort code. I just found that hilarious and hung up. Definitely a scam, so watch out for this one!

WATCH OUT I just got a call from a bloke claiming to be about blocking unwanted calls (I thought it was one of those annoying ones). The number showing was 002030639321. He said he worked for Telephone Preference Management, but I quickly found out that’s NOT the same as the official TPS - Telephone Preference Service. Don’t be fooled. The real TPS never rings you asking about their service. THIS IS DEFINITELY A TRICK.

WATCH OUT I just got a call from a number 002030639321 about stopping nuisance calls. (I assumed it was legit like this one). The person claimed they were from Telephone Preference Management, which I later found out isn’t the same as the TPS (Telephone Preference Service). Heads up - TPS never calls you out of the blue like this. THIS IS A SMOOTH SCAM.

I got a call from someone saying they were from the telephone preference service and wanted my visa debit card expiry date. When I wouldn't give it to them, the person got quite rude, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from what sounded like a call centre, I could hear other people chatting in the background. The woman had an Asian accent and claimed to be from the telephone preference centre. She started by telling me my name, address, and phone number, which was a bit unsettling. Then she asked me to confirm if I paid my phone bill by direct debit, according to their records. I asked her to go over the question again, but she kept insisting their info was accurate. That’s when I realised it was dodgy and probably a scam, so I just hung up straight away.

Got a really unfriendly bloke from India on the phone asking all sorts of personal stuff about me. I just ended the call right away. Then, he rang my 92-year-old dad pretending to be me, saying I’d been badly hurt in a car crash - which is totally untrue. - Mark

Today this number rang me three times. I missed the first two calls, but I picked up the third. It was a man with an Indian accent telling me to check around my house for my bank card. He already knew my full name, address, and phone number. When I couldn’t find my card straight away, he kept getting more and more impatient, telling me over and over to keep looking. I asked if he could send me some written information about what he wanted, and he said no because he didn’t know who I was. I pointed out that he’d called me and had my details, but then he just turned really rude, so I ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the telephone preference service. They rattled off my postcode and then told me to look in my purse and kitchen cupboards for my bank card so they could get the expiry date. I quickly guessed it was a scam and left them hanging on hold for ages. Now, the same number keeps ringing me non-stop and just leaves blank voicemails. Absolutely sick of these nuisance calls!

Somebody rang claiming they were from the telephone preference service and asked for my VISA expiry info. They said they'd send a person round to my house to get the details and asked if I could offer them a bit to eat and drink. When I said no, they just hung up on me.

The lady had a really thick Indian accent, I could barely catch a word she said. She tried explaining it to me two times, but I still couldn't make sense of it.
