10 yearsA mate of mine got a ring from this number the other day. A bloke with a foreign accent asked if she gets loads of spam calls. She told him she does, and then he went on to ask for her card’s expiry date. She told him straight up she’d never give out her card details to anyone. That seemed to annoy him, and he snapped that he wasn’t after her full card number - said he’d be fired if he did that. Then, in a rude voice, he told her to go fetch her card. She didn’t bother with him and hung up.10 yearsanswered the phone but there was silence on the other end, so i just ended the call.10 yearsGot a call from someone claiming they were with the Telephone Preference Service and said they could register me on some new nuisance call list. Then they handed me over to a 'manager' who said there’d be a single fee for the service. But TPS never ask for money - sounds like they’re trying to con me into giving out my bank info.Telephone Preference ServiceTPS10 yearsThey just stayed quiet, no answer at all. Silence on the other end.10 yearsI received a call from a chap with a distinctly Asian accent claiming to represent the Telephone Preference Service. Strangely, he seemed to have my name and address, along with the fact that I settle my phone bill via direct debit. He even mentioned the expiry date of my debit card, which was rather unsettling. When I informed him that I was already signed up with TPS and intended to report his call, he promptly hung up. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!TPS10 yearsThis afternoon (16th November 2016), I received a rather dubious call inquiring whether I was plagued by bothersome telemarketing calls that they could supposedly stop "with just a press of a button." They then had the audacity to request my bank details, including my debit card information, even knowing the expiry date! That was quite enough for me, and I swiftly hung up. Just moments later, my phone rang again with the same narrative, this time from 02968787555. After enduring their scripted sales pitch, I promptly disconnected the call once more.10 yearsI received a rather intrusive call from a chap who inquired whether I was plagued by unsolicited phone calls. He went on to mention that my debit card linked to my telecom provider was nearing its expiration (which is indeed accurate!) and proceeded to ask for the “Activation Number” corresponding to my new card. I reluctantly disclosed the sort code, which he promptly pinpointed as belonging to HSBC. However, I politely refrained from sharing my account number, the figure he labelled as the activation code. Despite his relentless probing, I decided to sever the call. To my surprise, he called back, so I opted to respond to him in a bit of Old English for good measure.HSBC10 yearsI recently received a phone call from this number, purporting to be the Telephone Preference Service. Initially, they requested my name and address, which I provided. However, when they suddenly asked for the expiry date of my debit card under the guise of security measures, I became suspicious. I questioned their need for this information, but they couldn't provide a satisfactory explanation. In the end, they abruptly terminated the call without further ado. Quite a dodgy encounter, if you ask me!Telephone Preference Service10 yearsI received a rather dubious call from an individual who inquired if I was plagued by unwanted phone calls. He proceeded to inform me that my debit card associated with my phone provider was nearing its expiration date (which indeed was true!) and requested the "Activation Number" from my replacement card. I inadvertently disclosed the sort code, which he recognised as belonging to HSBC, but I flat-out refused to share my account number, which he misleadingly referred to as the activation code. His insistence was quite tedious, prompting me to sever the call. However, he had the audacity to try again, so I decided to engage him in a bit of Old English for fun. Curiously, he also seemed to know my postcode and asked me to verify it.HSBC10 yearsAllegedly reaching out as part of the Telephone Preference Service.Submit Your Own Report (03 0640213)
