Got a call from a man, sounded like he had a strong (maybe African?) accent, but he couldn’t really explain why he was ringing. I just ended the call.

Just got a call from 00125975385, some guy with a strong foreign accent warned me my internet was infected with a virus. Total scam, probably trying to hack into my PC. Be careful, don’t pick up if it rings you!

I got a call from someone pretending to be from my internet service, but their accent was foreign and their English was really poor. Felt like a scam to me.

Got a call from 0012566911966 claiming to be from Virgin Media support. They were really pushing to make me run stuff like teamviewer_setup.exe and impcremoteinstant_user.exe to somehow get into my bank account. Very convincing at first, so watch out!

Had a couple of calls today from the number 00125, claiming there were two dodgy transactions on my Visa card. I promptly hung up, recognising it as a scam. It’s quite pitiful really, these individuals resorting to such tricks-I can't help but think they've never been able to hold down a proper job.

calls from international numbers kept coming from belfast, kept hanging up after ringing a few times. blocked them now.

I’ve stopped picking up my landline altogether these days, even if the number looks local. The last time someone called, it was a scam pretending to be from a nearby area code. My real mates usually just leave a voicemail anyway, so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything important.

I received a call from this number earlier today at ###:### and then once more a bit later at ###:###. When I picked up, the caller hung up straight away! I've now added them to my blocked contacts. To be honest, I wouldn't have answered if I'd been wearing my glasses; I couldn't read the number clearly. We typically have BT's call guard activated, but I turned it off temporarily for an important call. Interestingly, the dialling code 00125 is linked to a location in Italy!

Somebody with the number 0012563872724 just rang me, any idea who it could be?

I seem to be bombarded with calls from this number, ringing me around three or four times each day!

We've had loads of missed calls from BT, plus some weird stuff going on with our internet. They keep ringing asking us to press 1 to get through to an engineer or something.

I recently got a message claiming that a debit card transaction for £### had been processed. I ended the call immediately. I keep getting similar notifications regarding my BT account as well-it’s becoming rather tedious.

Received three calls from this number earlier today. I decided to pass on two of them but actually picked up the third. A recorded female voice informed me that a sum of £### had been debited from our so-called 'Visa secure' account, prompting me to press 1 for assistance. The thing is, we don't even have a Visa secure account! After checking our Visa credit and debit cards, everything appears to be perfectly normal with no strange transactions whatsoever.

I received a call from ###.### earlier today, and I’d really like to uncover who it was. If I can get that information, I’d sort it out, no problem. Cheers!

I received a call earlier today with a pre-recorded message warning me that my BT line was allegedly set to be terminated today. It prompted me to hit '1' to connect with an advisor, but honestly, I find these interruptions utterly infuriating. I can only assume they’re fishing for an opportunity to lure unsuspecting customers away from their current providers. It’s high time these bothersome sorts were tracked down and prohibited, as they really do constitute a public nuisance, if not something more sinister.

I've received calls from this number multiple times over the last week and a bit, with each one coming from a different number. They all claim, "This is BT, your broadband and telephone service is set to be terminated today. Press 1 to chat with an advisor or 9 to cancel your BT subscription." I've had enough and blocked every single one of these numbers. I've also reported the whole situation to British Telecom and shared every number involved. Most of these calls seem to be originating from within the UK.

Submitted an inaccurate claim regarding internet outage. Do these numpties not comprehend that there's simply no way to tie a phone number to a specific computer? It's baffling!

This morning I got three calls from different numbers all saying the same thing. They try to scare you into thinking they’re gonna cut off your internet or landline. Just don’t press anything, best to just hang up straight away. They’re really dodgy scammers.

Today, I received a rather unsettling call from a number starting with 00125 at ###.###. Instead of picking up, I let it go to voicemail, and to my surprise, the message was rather crude, consisting solely of some profanity from a male voice. As a middle-aged woman living alone, this has left me feeling quite disturbed. I'd sincerely appreciate any assistance in putting an end to these calls, not just for myself but for anyone else who might be experiencing similar harassment. Thank you in advance for your help.

Really irritating call, they were saying they'd disconnect my internet if I didn't pay up, and they were quite rude about it. Proper nasty people. Made me so annoyed.

I just got off the phone with a woman chatting away in Thai - I decided to end the call. 00125###

Oh, I must say, receiving calls from women is quite an experience! Often, they seem utterly baffled by the simplest of queries, such as, “What’s the IP address in question, and what sort of nefarious activity are these hackers up to on my device?” More often than not, they seem to waver between blaming the computer or the router for the issues at hand. A little tip? Just mentioning that you work in IT tends to send them into a tizzy! However, the gem I stumbled upon today was simply saying, “I don’t own a computer!” Works like a charm!

Could anyone shed some light on the origin of this international call? It’s being directed to Cape Town, South Africa. Cheers!
