I received a call from this number twice earlier on today.

I’ve just had a call from a number starting with 00123, claiming that we've been overcharged by £600 in bank fees and that they could help us reclaim it. This is the second time someone has tried this trick on us. We told them to deduct the £69 admin fee from the amount we supposedly overpaid and to send us a cheque for the remainder. Their response was to tell us to be quiet and then they hung up. Quite the cheek, I must say!

My stepson hopped onto my laptop on the 2nd of February 2015 to check out payday loans, and he ended up using our landline number. Thankfully, he didn't end up securing a loan, but since then, we've been inundated with calls from this number-about four per day! Each time we answer, there's nothing but silence on the other end. I contacted my phone company, but they told me they can't block it cause it's from overseas. Honestly, I’m thinking of getting a new number. If that doesn’t do the trick, I might just have to cut off my line completely. Surely there’s some way to put an end to this madness??

I keep getting these calls non-stop, and since I work night shifts, it’s really frustrating when I’m trying to get some sleep. I even let the phone lie untouched for a while, and they didn’t hang up until after about 4 minutes!

I got a call from this number ###/###/### who was asking for me, claiming I could get some kind of compensation. The guy had an Indian accent, so I told him I thought it sounded dodgy and hung up. He tried calling back twice after that.

Just happened to me a bit ago. The phone buzzed, but the call dropped before I could answer. My reverse lookup showed the number as 00123. Then this usual pre-recorded message told me to just hang up. After a couple of mins, the phone buzzed again from the exact same number. I could hear a load of noises like a busy call centre, so I hit the secret mute button on my phone, which makes the other end hear nothing at all. Some bloke with a foreign accent goes, “Hello...hello...,” then asks if he’s speaking to Mrs xxxxx (my missus). When I kept quiet, the bloke just hung up. Complete fools and total time wasters - but they somehow have our names already, so I guess they got them from somewhere?

I seem to receive calls from the number 001236589563 on a nearly daily basis. Oddly enough, there's never anyone on the line when I pick up, and whenever I attempt to return the call, it comes up as an unidentified number. Here I am, taking the time to report it, but does anyone genuinely take action regarding these matters?

In the past few days, I've been inundated with calls from this number-sometimes two or even three a day! In the end, we decided to ignore them altogether. However, I completely lost my temper when they bellied my peace at 4:45 in the morning! It's particularly distressing, given that we have vulnerable, elderly relatives to consider. This constant pestering is truly unacceptable and caused quite a bit of anxiety.

We've been out whenever these calls come through. When I try calling ### back, they give the number and then just tell me to hang up. I was thinking maybe BT are doing some upgrades to the local network or something. This has been happening roughly once per day for about a week now.
