In just six hours today I’ve had loads of calls from 0128xxx numbers. At first it was just a bit annoying, but now it’s honestly getting me really stressed. This has been going on for over a month now, and every time I pick up, the line goes dead. This morning I got a recorded message saying it was BT and that my internet was about to be cut off. They keep switching their numbers slightly, which makes it harder to block them. Surely there’s something that could be done to protect us customers? We pay good money for these services so it’s only right they do something to tackle this. **Please, Ofcom or BT, help put an end to these scam calls!**

This Saturday I got ### calls from numbers I didn’t recognise. Most started with 0###8 and a few had ### at the front. I didn’t pick up any of them but I reckon it might be those pesky Talk Talk Broadband calls since I did answer a similar number near 3 weeks ago.
Today, the first ring came in at ###.### on ###th May and they’ve kept coming, already 8 calls by midday. Out of those, 7 had the 0###8 start and one was with ### again. Honestly, I really wish they’d just stop bothering me.

I've been getting nonstop calls every day from loads of different 0128 numbers too. They're all different every time. Today has been the worst with 9 calls just between 10.23 and 11.30. None matched each other or any numbers I've seen in other posts. No idea how to block these, but something really needs to be done to put a stop to this.

Yesterday I got about five calls from some American lady saying my Talk Talk internet was about to be cut off. All the numbers started with 0128 but with different endings. I just blocked them straight away but today I’ve already had another six! I don’t even use Talk Talk. Weirdly, these calls don’t get picked up by my answerphone like the HMRC ones do. Today I’ve had 0128 ring me nine different times, each with the identical automated message in an American accent claiming my TalkTalk internet is being disconnected. Obviously, that’s not true. Every call came from numbers starting with 0128, from early this morning till about 4pm. The prefixes were all 0128 then followed by various numbers ending up with 88242 on nine occasions. Seemed a bit suspicious to me!

Totally a scam, the numbers they ring from include 01287215179, 01284598630, 01280883995, 01280903757, 01284838181, 01283572057 and maybe 012993788021 too. I’ve told Talktalk so they can block them on their network. Somebody’s put these numbers under these scammers’ names and OFCOM are aware, but like usual, they don’t wanna do anything about it.

I've gotten at least 20 calls from loads of different numbers beginning with 0128. I rang BT but they couldn't care less. They even tried to charge me an extra £5.50 per month to block the calls, so I told them they were probably part of the scam trying to make us buy this "service" from them. Predictably, they just ended the call on me! What a bunch of experts! In the end, I had no choice but to cut off my landline because the calls wouldn't stop.

This is really annoying, something's off with these calls. Yesterday I got six calls from numbers beginning with 0128, like 1285478925, 01280789543, 01284445780, 01282155443, 01283141169 and 01285064239. Today alone, I've had two more from 01286644312 and 01285987136. I’ve messaged Action Fraud on Twitter to check if there’s any scam linked to these 0128 numbers. I never picked up any of the calls.

These 0128 and 0127 numbers keep ringing non-stop, sometimes 10 times daily. I’ve ignored them on my landline. I tried calling one back from my mobile, but it just rang and then cut off. My call block list is full up with all the variations of these numbers now! I can’t just unplug the phone as I need the WiFi, plus I rely on a telecare alarm because of my disability. Loads of calls coming from the 0128 area code, my advice is to use a call blocker to stop it. They’ll probably switch to a different code soon though, so then you’ll just have to block that one too. It’s a pain, but honestly, there’s not much else you can do apart from that.

Got a call today from 0128 758 4135. The moment I picked up, the line just went silent. I ringed the number back and was told it’s not in service. Seen other comments here saying the same, so I’ve blocked it now. Definitely a scam.

I keep getting a couple of calls every day from numbers that all begin with ###28. I just ignore them and stay quiet, which seems to make the robo-caller give up. Would be great if there was a way to block them for good. The numbers all look like they might be from UK regions, but when I try ringing back I get a “number not recognised” message. They’re always different except for the first few digits, so I reckon the caller info is probably fake. Some of the calls are like: ###28### on Thursday/1/### at ###:### from Burnley ###28###05032 on Wednesday/1/### at ###:### but shown as Unassigned ###288###9777 on Wednesday/1/### at ###:### from Bude ###28### on Tuesday/1/### at ###:### from Caernarfon

Got a couple of calls from 0128 claiming to be BT saying they'd disconnect my internet. Total scam! Don’t respond or engage at all. Just ignore it completely! If it were real, the company would always email you first explaining the issue and how to fix it, never ring like this.

Said they were from BT, I humoured them and acted like I was doing what they said. It’s a trick to hack your gadgets and they tell you to “turn off” your internet. The person was an Indian woman who rang again from another number after I ended the call. When I asked for proof, they couldn’t give any solid answers. Watch out for this!

Got a call from 01280882758, the person said they were with BT and that my internet was going to be cut off. Then they just hung up. Called BT myself and they said it was a scam.
