Got a call from a 0123 number with a recorded voice saying something about Amazon Prime, total scam for sure.

They ring now and then, like once or twice, usually pretty early round 7.40 am which is a bit annoying for us older folks. I’m thinking of moving my landline to another room and just sticking to my mobile instead.

It was a mans voice, said he was from BT and my internet would get disconnected. It sounded like one of them automated calls.

I wouldnt pick up this one, seems dodgy to me. Bit creepy honestly. Plus, cant even block it on BT which just makes it worse.

Got calls from a number beginning with 0123 loads this week, and every time I ask who it is, no reply. Twice yesterday I just let it ring, didn’t pick up. These keep coming back, really annoying. Is there any way to block them for good?

It came up as an international number on my phone display.

Got three calls from 0123 6130273 today. If they're trying to sell some £99 deal to stop 'nuisance' calls, they're dreaming! I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, which hits these kinds of calls with big fines. I'm just about to ring them back.

We received one of those calls last evening as well, and the person on the other end clearly knew our name, asking if they were speaking to Mrs. … and so forth. However, they then proceeded to mention a supposed claim - which baffled us, as we haven’t made any claims! When I asked them to repeat what they said, they abruptly hung up, leaving me utterly confused. It all feels rather fishy and I can’t shake the worry that these sorts of calls might lead to charges being racked up on our phone bill if we stay on the line too long. I recently had a rather peculiar exchange with someone claiming to be "Jonathan Edwards." Quite the generic name, wouldn't you say? Anyway, the conversation mirrored earlier reports-something along the lines of “Your bank wishes to refund you £700, but we'll just require your date of birth.” To which, I cheekily replied, “Absolutely, it’s 31st February 1941.” Funnily enough, they hung up shortly afterwards! Just a gentle nudge to everyone: steering clear of sharing personal details over the phone is a must. Your actual bank will always communicate through proper channels, like a letter.

Just got a call from 01233280133 claiming my nuisance call list had to be updated and then asked for my debit card expiry date to "confirm" my identity. I told them to wait a moment but quickly said no way I’m giving out that kind of info on the phone. Seems dodgy to me.

I just received a call from a rather dodgy-sounding foreign lady using the number 0123. She claimed to be from Miss XX and went on about some supposed refunds we were owed from over 700 bank charges. As soon as I asked for more details about where she was calling from, she simply hung up. What on earth was that all about? It certainly felt like some kind of scam!

I received a call from these individuals who somehow had details of two of my bank cards, including the security numbers. All they asked me to confirm were the start and end dates, which I never disclosed to them, and I've since taken the precaution of cancelling my cards. It’s worth mentioning that I had only changed my phone number just two days before this incident. It's obvious that this is a scam; they must have got hold of my information from somewhere. This definitely warrants further scrutiny! Some claims firm based in the UK, you might say? Quite the joke, if you ask me!

00123 keeps calling non stop and just drops the call when you pick up, its like they call a hundred times every day!

This number has called us at least three times. When I checked using 1471, the number shown was just 0123. Whenever we pick up, there's nothing but silence on the other end. It’s meant to be a business line that should be manned around the clock.

This number keeps ringing non stop its so irritating and stressful.

We recently received a call that seemed to originate from an overseas call centre. The caller ID just displayed "0123," which is rather odd. The caller asked, "Hello, is that Mr XXX?" To which I replied "yes"-though I must admit, I was quite wary since I'm on the Telephone Preference Service. Before I could gather more information, the call abruptly ended while the person was trying to identify themselves. Incidentally, there was quite a cacophony in the background, making it harder to glean any details. I’m left wondering, how is it possible for someone to show up as just "0123" on a display?

Today, our associate had a rather similar encounter; it felt as though they were speaking to a call centre in India. This person was quite knowledgeable, even mentioning our name and address, along with references to 800 numbers and PPI. At that moment, my associate decided enough was enough and simply hung up the phone.
