I keep getting calls from this number even after blocking it on my mobile. Now, it’s even managed to find my personal home phone number. The calls show up with the 0127 area code, but with different endings, often finishing with 1447 or 2144. I’ve reported it as nuisance/scam calls, but it looks like this number is widely recognised for targeting vulnerable folks. A few of my mates over 60 have also had calls from this area code on both their mobiles and home phones.

Lately, I've been getting loads of calls from numbers beginning with 0127. The people on the other end say they're from some energy company or something like that. I've told them flat out to get lost, but it doesn't seem to matter. They just switch to a different number with the same 0127 start. I block one, and another pops up straight away. Really wish someone would do something to put an end to this nonsense.

I got a call from a lady with a foreign accent, she said something about my kitchen boiler. I was like, why are you calling me? Then she just hung up. Pretty clear it was a scam. I don’t even have a boiler in the kitchen, so I’m left wondering what she was gonna say next.

Got a call from 01273655184 about some washing machine warranty, they said they’d send paperwork so I asked for their number which they gave me. They already had my postcode and address which seemed off to me. Then they asked for my sort code to 'verify' something - I dunno what for! No way I’m giving that out, clearly a scam. Told them I’d pass it to a colleague, not falling for it!

I got a call around 3 in the afternoon saying my insurance for some kitchen stuff had run out. I told them to send me a letter. They said they’d already sent one but no response yet. I said I didn’t get it, so please send another. I should’ve asked which company it was, but I was a bit taken aback. For anyone else, if you get a call like this, make sure to ask exactly who they are. Of course, next thing they wanted was my bank info!

Today, I got four calls on my landline from various numbers, including one starting with 0127, all claiming to be Amazon wanting to renew my Prime membership. The thing is, I don’t even have Prime, or any subscription for that matter. I just hung up straight away. It’s really frustrating since I can block calls on my mobile but there’s no way to do that on the landline.

Earlier today I got a call from 01295386203 but didnt manage to answer it before it stopped ringing. When I called back, it directed me to a website - www.nta.co.uk - that seems to be selling phone stuff. Then, not long after, 01275827379 rang me again, but there was no one on the line. I tried ringing that number back, but it was dead. I’m 75 and was dozing off, waiting for a call from the hospital about my husband’s cancer treatment. Quite unsettling!

I received a couple of calls from this number earlier today. It was the only one that popped up when I dialled 1471. The line was filled with background chatter, and then I heard someone say, “Hello? Is anyone there?” before the call disconnected. Just a minute or so later, they rang again, but all I heard was more of that background hubbub. Quite peculiar, really!
