On the 28th of September, I received an unexpected call that lasted more than 10 minutes, and subsequently, I’ve been charged £33.48 plus interest by Plusnet for it. This number has no relevance to me whatsoever. I'm reaching out for assistance; it’s quite distressing to deal with this fee, and I’m worried it may happen again in the future. i had a similar problem with o2, they refused to give me a refund saying their records prove i made the call, which i definitely didnt. since they wouldnt refund me, i stopped being their customer. i was with them for 13 years and never once dialled a 118 number. good luck sorting your case out.

Just noticed a call from 118068 on my o2 bill, which ive never heard of before. The call lasted 20 minutes and cost me like £70! This company shows a phone number for Sky - 0345 174 2315 but as soon as you call, a recorded message says 'You can still reach us on our out of hours number, please hang up and dial 118 068 instead, that number again is 118 068.' Then there’s a pause where they announce the charges for calling 118 068 - £6.98 per call plus £3.49 per hour. I can confirm that 118068 is indeed a fraudulent number. It seems likely that you received a call where they prompted you to press a digit to stop future communications, but instead, you were rerouted to this dodgy line. I recommend reaching out to your phone service provider to report this as a scam. I did this myself and managed to get a refund.

Sought out the contact details for Sky's Customer Services online, and dialled 03451740113, only to discover that the number was defunct. A recording popped up suggesting I could locate the number using 118068 (I was aware that 118 relates to directory assistance, so I went ahead and pressed 1). They provided me with a new number, asking if I wished to make the call, to which I again pressed 1. Eventually, I got through to Sky to sort out an issue with my SkyQ. After a lengthy 35 minutes on the line, I'm now £130 poorer, and Sky's customer service has been shockingly unhelpful.

SKY told me I might have dialled a different number, and since it was outside the usual hours for whoever I was trying to reach, they redirected me to their after-hours line so they wouldn’t miss my call. The 118068 charge was £7.09 for just 38 seconds. Honestly, I don’t know who I'd be calling at 8pm anyway. SKY won’t give me a refund and they don’t offer any way to block calls like this.

I saw this number pop up on Google as if it was the out-of-hours DVLA contact. I got charged £7.43 for a call lasting 35 seconds and another £7.43 for a 50 second call. What annoys me more though is we never seemed to actually get through to a person - just a ringing sound until we ended the call since nobody picked up. From what I know, you're only meant to pay once someone answers, so how come we were charged for multiple calls of various lengths without ever speaking to anyone?

When I inquired if the number provided was for after-hours use, the lady on the line responded in a such a patronising manner, simply repeating, “... just take the number!” I can confidently say that I will be steering clear of your service in the future. Not only will I refrain from recommending it, but I will also make it a point to inform others about my experience and advise them against using your service.
