1 dayLike a few folks here, I reckon this was one of those dodgy housing repair scam calls. It was pretty obvious that it wasn’t a real person since it’d ask me something, then pause for a good 5 to 10 seconds before replying, which felt really robotic.1 dayGot a call that began with some automated beeping and a robotic voice talking about housing repairs. I’m actually in regular touch with my landlord, so I knew straight away it was a con. Total scam, don’t fall for it.1 dayGot a call about some housing damage issue, which they said I'd reported before. Thing is, I never actually did. Seems like they’re just hoping someone who really did ring local housing about repairs will answer. I told them straight up I hadn’t called and suggested they’d dialled the wrong number, but they kept asking questions. After I said the same thing a couple of times, they finally ended the call. The voice was strangely clear for a scammy call, but with a weird American/Atlantic accent.2 daysI have no idea who this number belongs to, never picked up when they called.2 daysHousing repair scam, definitely a phone scam. First, you get this robotic voice with a handful of set lines. Then they pass you along to some bloke with an Indian accent wanting to "go over my reported repair". Since I was stuck on a conference call (and a bit bored), I decided to keep them chatting for like 20 minutes. Honestly, I’d rather they ring me so I’m aware it’s a scam, instead of someone getting caught out who has no clue.Submit Your Own Report (0330 174 5736)
