Someone called saying they're from Santander and told me to talk to their fraud team if I pressed 1. I knew straight away it was dodgy, no chance I fell for that scam!

I've had about four calls already from someone claiming to be Santander. I rang Santander directly and they told me it was probably a scam. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call at 8:37pm, didn’t pick up. Looked up the number online and saw it was a scam. They called back a bit later, so I’ve blocked it now.

I received an automated call purporting to be from the fraud department of Santander. I was a bit sceptical about its authenticity, so I decided to ring up Santander directly. To my surprise, they confirmed it was indeed legitimate, and it turned out that someone across the pond had attempted to siphon funds from my account. Quite alarming, really!

I just had a call from this number and they left a voicemail. It was supposedly from the fraud team of my bank, urging me to return the call. When I redialled, they mentioned some transactions I recognised, but there was one I didn’t know anything about. It was quite late, around half past nine in the evening, which made me a bit dubious-surely banks don’t call people at that hour? So, I decided to hang up. I’ll definitely ring my bank first thing in the morning to check if it was genuine.
