Yup, that’s definitely Santander. I added a new payee to my online banking today and got a message from them saying someone would ring me in about an hour. Sure enough, they did.

It’s legit. Seems like my card was being used without me knowing. At first I told them to get lost, but then I called the number on my card and they said it was for real. Now just hanging on for my new card!

Got a voicemail from this number claiming to be Santander's fraud dept, asking about a payment I never made. Also got a text from 447860015200 asking me to reply with Y or N plus a 3 digit code. I contacted Santander for real and had to cancel my card. Now I’m stuck waiting for a replacement, which is a bit of a hassle.

Totally legit and secure. It’s from Santander’s fraud team. They’ll have you enter a 3-digit code they provide, then they'll review your recent card transactions for anything unusual. You don’t have to give any personal or bank info at all. I called Santander directly to verify before I used the number.

Got a voicemail from this number claiming to be Santander’s fraud team, so I popped into my nearest branch. They had no clue about the call or the number and assured me there hadn’t been any dodgy activity on my accounts. I’d recommend ringing the number on your bank card if you're concerned, rather than this one.

This is definitely a scam. They said they were from Santander, but I checked with Santander’s fraud team and they said it wasn’t them. I blocked the number straight away. Don’t bother answering. They rang again this morning but I just blocked it again. I’ve ordered a new card and PIN just to be safe.

Got a call today, Saturday 27th Oct 2018, from someone claiming to be Santander, saying they were checking for fraud on my card and told me to press any key to continue. They then gave a 3-digit code and a number to ring back. I didn’t do any of that - rang Santander myself and they said that number isn’t theirs at all. Total scam. They also rang my landline, which isn’t linked to my account, and said I wasn’t the main account holder. I’ve since blocked the number.

This is actually a real Santander phone number. Santander often blocks a card payment and then calls you straight away if they don’t have your mobile number on file, otherwise they text you to confirm it’s really you trying to use the card. It happened to my mum this morning and I rang Santander’s fraud team who said there’s nothing to worry about.

Got a call from a number like 08006406173, the caller said they were from Santander and asked me to enter a bunch of numbers, even the 3 digit code on the back of my card. Something felt off so I hung up straight away. Then I called Santander’s security team myself and they told me it was a scam and they were trying to make a payment without my consent.
