Got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent claiming he was from the Credit Investigation Bureau. I told him I wasn't interested, but he got all rude and asked if I knew who they were. I just told him again I wasn’t interested and asked him not to ring me anymore. After that, I blocked the number straight away.

On 4/7/19 at about 2.35pm I got a call from 07938536812. The person claimed I owed some money and needed to pay up immediately. I told them I don’t owe anything and always pay by cash, so it’s clearly a scam. Then they just hung up on me.

Got a ring from this number saying they were from some finance company. Asked them what debt I supposedly had and they just cut me off. Tried to phone them back but all I got was a dead line. Definitely a dodgy call, watch out!

Got a call from someone claiming they could help with my debts. I told them I don’t owe anything, but then he called me lying and said I was daft. He started shouting, saying I don't get English, even though his accent was so thick I could barely understand him! Seriously, what a joke. Blocked straight away.

Got a call from this number about half an hour back. Some bloke on the other end said I owed money or something. I told him straight up I didn’t have any debts and asked him where he was pulling that from. He just cut me off. What a total idiot! It’s pretty dodgy how they’re using mobile numbers now - way more tempting to pick up than an unknown landline. I’ve blocked it but I’m sure they’ll try again with another number. So frustrating!!!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with a debt company and said they could clear my debts. Thing is, I don't owe anything to anyone. He already had my name and phone number though, so I just blocked him straight away.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be with Credit Information. Honestly, what she was trying to say was all over the place and her strong accent made it nearly impossible to follow. I told her straight up, "This sounds like some sort of scam," and she got all defensive, going "Oh, you haven't heard of us?" When I repeated that I wasn't convinced and thought it was a scam, I overheard her muttering something like "Buzz off" just before she ended the call. I've blocked that number now.

Had some callers from India trying to find out who supplies my utilities and asking about home insurance. I found the best move was to keep them chatting for ages since they’re the ones footing the phone bill. Managed to keep the convo going for about 2 and a half minutes before they realised I wasn’t getting anywhere and just hung up. Just spin some fibs and keep pretending you’re not sure what they’re saying, asking them to repeat themselves all the time. We can’t stop these calls, so why not make them cover the cost instead? :)

I received a rather alarming call from a chap who claimed I had debts outstanding, offering to wipe the slate clean for me through some organisation that sounded like the Debt Advice Foundation. He had both my name and my phone number, which is quite unsettling. The kicker is, I'm not in any financial straits whatsoever. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number-definitely suspicious!

Some bloke called saying I was having trouble paying off some unsecured debts. I told him I wasn’t and asked where he found my number from. He got really annoyed and told me he wasn’t asking, he was telling me! I said I’d deal with my bank if there were any problems. Then he got even more annoyed and said I had to talk to him. I just hung up. Honestly, he kind of freaked me out!

A chap called me claiming to be from the credit control department, insisting that I'm falling behind on my repayments. I firmly told him I don’t owe a single penny. He then switched gears, inquiring about whether I'm current with my life insurance. When I confirmed that I am, he abruptly wished me a lovely day. Quite the peculiar conversation!
