These so-called debt management companies are outright con artists out to drain your bank account! Just blocking their calls won’t work since they’ll just use different numbers and keep pestering you. The best thing to do is report them straight to ACTION FRAUD at 0300 123 2040 or visit their site for info. Take a stand now and help bring these nasty scammers to justice.

Somebody called saying they're from a credit check company, but I had no clue what they meant. Don't share any details, it's a scam.

They ring me about three times every day. I never pick up. Saw there was a voicemail but when I played it, it just sounded like a bunch of background noise from a call centre or something. After reading what people said here, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Phone just rang from this number. When I answered, the bloke said his name was Albert, but with his accent, he sounded more like an Abdul. I told him I wasn’t interested in putting money towards his “new Merc” or his many wives, and he called me a b###! What a cheek.

He claimed he could assist with my debts (which I don’t have). After he went on for about 10 minutes, I told him his offer sounded like a dodgy scam. He then called me all sorts of bad names and told me to go home and do awful things to my mum. Not exactly a pleasant bloke, and his English wasn’t very good either.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Citizens Advice, saying I owed like £3-4k and had a plan to sort it out. What a joke! Asked him how he even got my work phone number and told him to remove me from their list, and he just hung up on me. Luckily, I’ve no debts or credit cards. I feel sorry for folks who have, cos they might fall for this. How do we put a stop to these scammers and get them fined?

Some woman rang me. I answered with hello and then tried saying hello in my own language thinking it might be someone from my family. She asked me, "Are you Dana?" I said no, I’m not Dana. Then she asked if I just said asalamakum, which I did, but then I just ended the call straight away.

Some bloke with an Asian accent rang and asked for me by my name. When I tried my normal trick and asked if I’d asked him to ring, he lost it and started swearing, saying I’m not the f######g queen and he doesn’t need my permission to call. Absolutely laughable. Just another scammer caught out!

Got a call from someone called Neil, said he was from the FCA, talking about my credit card debts - problem is, I don’t even own a credit card! When I asked which one, he just said “the bank one.” Then I asked which bank and he just started listing every bank under the sun. I told him I'd buzz in once he named the right one. He went dead quiet, probably trying to find his place in whatever script he was reading!

They've rang me like 8 times since Saturday, just a bit ago again saying they were from some debt collectors. I said I don't owe anything, then they switched to asking about life insurance, which was funny. They ended the call not long after.

Just got a call about 20 mins ago from a bloke claiming he was from Moorcroft, said I could google them to check. When I asked what company exactly, he said they’re one of the largest debt collectors in Europe. I knew straight away it was dodgy so I told him no thanks and hung up. He called back right away, started shouting at me and called me stupid, got really nasty when I cut him off again. I’ve blocked the number now but honestly, it’s defo a dodgy scam. BE WARNED - don’t hand over any details!

I got a call at 11:47 from a guy with an Asian accent who said he was “Mike from Citizens Advice,” saying he was ringing about my debts! I asked him, “which branch of Citizens Advice are you calling from?” He said “Manchester” and then started asking about my credit card debts, claiming there was some government scheme to help pay them off. I just laughed and told him there was no way he was really from Citizens Advice. He then asked why I was laughing, told me to fuck off, and hung up straight away.

This company keeps claiming they’re from the courts and say they can help with debts. When I asked for more details about who they actually are, the guy just kept repeating the company name. Then he asked for my personal info, and I said why should I give it when I’m not going to use their services? He just hung up on me straight away.
