Got a call from someone with a really thick accent claiming to be from the citizens advice bureau. I asked why they’d be ringing me since people usually call them, not the other way round! Then they just hung up on me!

Really confused by all the debt collector stories here. This bloke rang me up and used my name, asked if I knew him, said his name was Michael. When I kept saying I had no idea who he was, he suddenly said it was "time to leave this world," then called me "darling" and just ended the call! Completely weird and unsettling.

Answered the phone and he asked who he was talking to, I told him he should know since he dialled me. He then said I had to verify my ID for security reasons, so I asked why was he calling in the first place? He just said it wasn’t important and then just ended the call.

Yeah, some muppet claiming to be from a credit firm. When I called him out for being a scam, he just told me to f### off.

This bloke rang me up asking for me by name, then started saying he was from some debt advice lot. I asked what company he was with, and all he said was “debt advice” again. I told him that wasn’t an answer and that I don’t owe any money anyway. I said he shouldn’t be cold calling people like that and that I didn’t want to talk anymore before I ended the call.

Blimey, looks like they're quite persistent! I got two calls, missed the first but answered the second. The bloke insisted I owed some legal and credit card debts, which is completely untrue. I asked if it was a cold call, and he just kept saying the same nonsense. I told him to stop ringing me, and then he started swearing. Definitely avoid picking up when this number calls!

JUST TOOK THEM FOR A RIDE!! Got a call yesterday from someone claiming to be moorcroft about money I supposedly owed. Told them to jog on and they hung up. Then today, some bloke called “mike” rang and I said I was on the loo, making all the usual sounds. He hung up sharpish. An hour later, “hi Mike” again, I told him I’d just had an accident and asked if he could pop round and help. That really set him off and he dropped the phone. I’m 32 but seems like messing with poo talk really winds them up. Enjoy lads!

Just got a call from this number, the bloke didn’t give his name, just said he was from Citizen Advice and was asking about some debts on loans or credit cards. I asked who it was again and he just repeated Citizen Advice. I told him I’ve never contacted Citizen Advice before, so how did he get my details? Then he got really rude and told me to f*** off, and hung up straight away. Very unprofessional!

Got a call from someone yesterday saying I owed money and all that. I asked if I'd asked for their call and he said no, so I told him not to ring me again since I never asked for it. I also warned him I'd report them for harassment because it’s against the law to keep calling without permission. Then I just hung up and blocked the number.
