Got a recorded message claiming to be from HMRC, saying my name is on some kind of blacklist. They told me to press one to talk to someone. Pretty sure it's a scam.

To whoever keeps calling me, please quit bothering me. This number is definitely a scam, trying to trick people like me for their gain. Today I got a call saying my National Insurance had been hacked and that I needed to press one to fix it. I ignored it, but the person on the line just hung up on me. It was some robot message claiming my NI was at risk. If this number rings you, just hang up straight away, don’t do what they say, and make sure you report it!

If you get a dodgy call, just text 'scam caller' to 7726. The phone companies will then investigate and stop the numbers.

Got a call from this number saying they were from Aviva insurance, offering to boost my policy payout. Thing is, they didn't have a clue about my premium, the amount insured, or even how many people were on the policy. So, I just ended the call and rang Aviva directly. They told me they never call from a mobile number. Honestly, I’m baffled at how these lot even found out who my insurer was to begin with.

At first, he called me by my name, which made it feel legit, but then I decided to mess around with him a bit. Suddenly, he blew his top and began shouting loads of swear words down the line. What really scares me is thinking about those who might actually fall for it and end up getting robbed.

Some dodgy callers promising to fix my debts kept ringing. Told them I wasn’t interested and they just cut off the call.

Had a bloke ring me who was proper rude and completely called the wrong number. I tried to tell him a few times I wasn’t the person he wanted, but he just talked down to me and then just dropped the call. Not impressed at all!

I got a call earlier and they kept asking for someone by name. I didn’t say it was me but kept asking who they were and which company they worked for. Some guy with an accent called claiming to be from the criminal investigation department. Told him to jog on and blocked the number straight away.

So I just got a call from that number and when I told the bloke to take me off their list, he said he'd give it a go. I pushed back and said no, you need to take me off properly under GDPR rules. He snapped back, said he ain't taking orders from me and basically told me to buzz off! He had a really thick accent too!

some random bloke called me and when i told him to stop calling and take me off their list, he just said no and then dropped the call.

These people are total scammers, what they're doing is definitely illegal. Never share any personal info with them, or you’ll get tricked for sure. They use loads of different phone numbers. When I told one bloke I wasn’t interested, he got quite rude then just hung up, which was quite funny. Next time, I’m just gonna waste their time. The longer you stay on the call, the harder it is for them to fool anyone else.

Somebody rang me, said they were from the Citizens Advice Investigation Bureau and had looked into my credit. They promised to clear my debt if I paid £90 a month for a while. I just kept chatting to him for around 5 minutes, figured I’d try and waste their time a bit. Gotta play them at their own game and see when they’ll drop the call. So far I managed to keep one on the phone for 6 minutes!

Somebody rang up claiming they had info from my creditors about me not handling my debts properly. I told them that was absolute nonsense and asked them to remove me from their calling list. But the woman on the line refused to listen and kept telling me to be quiet. When I tried once more to ask her to take me off, she just told me to **** off.
