Got a call early this mornin' from an 0840 number. Didn’t pick up as I’ve been getting loads of calls from Indian numbers tryin’ to scam me for my bank info. They left no message. Seems like most of these are sales pitches or scams from Asian banks trying to trick people.

They said they were from some credit investigations team - called me by my name and said I had outstanding debts I was supposedly paying back each month. I asked where they were calling from again because the voice sounded all robotic or like it was being changed by some sort of machine. They kept saying it was the credit investigations team and wanted me to confirm my name. I just ended the call. Felt really dodgy to me.

Somebody said they were from a credit investigations team and used my name, claiming I had debts I was supposedly paying off each month. When I asked where they were calling from again, the voice sounded weirdly robotic or like it was being altered by a machine. They kept saying it was the credit investigations dept and wanted me to confirm my name. I just ended the call. Definitely dodgy.

07938 536747 phoned me around 3 in the afternoon today. A woman with an Asian accent said she represented some credit investigation company. She claimed I owed money on loans, credit cards, and catalogue accounts, then asked if that was correct. I said, you tell me. She pressed if I was paying the debts, and I replied, you seem to know all about it so tell me if I am. I don’t have any debts with loans, credit cards, or catalogues though. She then just shouted "f##k off you stupid b####" and hung up straight away.

A woman with a thick accent rang me, claiming she was from a government-backed debt help charity and that I was being looked into for unpaid debts. I told her I couldn’t imagine my credit score being any good if that was real, then asked which company I supposedly owed money to, just to catch her out. She quickly ended the call when she realised I wasn’t fooled. Never give out your info.

These so-called Debt Management scammers are seriously dodgy and already have most of your personal info. They still want your bank details and sort code to line their pockets! Blocking them doesn’t work - they’ll just use new numbers and share your info with other crooks. You can either keep blocking and get more calls, or be smarter and report them to ACTION FRAUD at 0300 123 2040. The more reports they get, the quicker they’ll treat it as a top priority, track them down, and bring them to justice. You know deep down what’s right to do.

He called me by my name, claiming to be from some credit control office saying I owed a load of money. I asked him who I supposedly owed it to, but he couldn’t tell me. I told him what’s the point of asking me for payment info when you don’t even know the amount or the company? He got all annoyed when I called him a dodgy scammer and then just hung up. Later, my phone’s virus blocker flagged the number as one that makes tons of calls. Wanted to know if I wanted to block it - well, it’s definitely blocked now.

This number kept ringing me over a few days. When I picked up, they said they were from some "investigations department" and told me I owed money. I just told them “that’s wrong, stop calling me.” Fingers crossed they leave me alone now! Feels like a scam trying to either nick your personal info or trick you into paying debts that ain’t real.

Honestly, just blocking these annoying calls doesn’t help at all! If you want to actually do something to put these nasty scammers in their place, you need to report them to ACTION FRAUD by ringing 0300 123 2040 or visiting their site. The more folks that report, the faster they’ll be found and taken down! They already have your phone number, so they’ll keep pestering you over and over unless you step up and report them!

These scammers often act like they’re from a debt help service or the Citizens Advice Bureau. They’ve got your phone number and are now after your personal info to steal your identity! Just blocking them won’t cut it - they'll keep calling from different numbers. Do the right thing - report them to ACTION FRAUD at 0300 123 2040 or visit their website for more info. Stand up now and help put these nasty fraudsters behind bars!

I just called O2 since that’s my provider and the number’s supposedly from their network, but they told me it hasn’t been activated yet. They said it’s probably a scam, kept me on hold for a bit while they checked, then came back confirming it’s defo not active. They took down all my details to investigate from their end, and the guy on the phone said the caller was from some police department, but not in the UK, even though it was an O2 number.
