Today I got a ring from 03457888440, with someone pretending to be from the NatWest Fraud department, warning me about some dodgy activity on my online bank account. Luckily I wasn’t home when they called, but they said they’d lock the account and buzz me again later. When I got in, I looked up the number on Who Called Me and loads of people reported it as scammy calls. Now I’m hanging on to see if they call again so I can tell them I’ve checked up and know they’re up to no good!

A couple of days ago, I got a random call from someone claiming to be from the "Natwest Fraud Department", then later from this number.

They asked me for my address to verify my identity, but I found it odd since the address they mentioned didn’t match the one my bank has.

During the call, the guy put me on hold saying he needed to check my records. That gave me enough time to search this number online. I decided to hang up, and sure enough, he rang back. I told him the number was flagged as suspicious and he just ended the call straight away.

Two calls, and I almost got caught. Honestly, these fraudsters are so convincing.

I reached out to the genuine Natwest fraud team afterwards, and they told me these scammers actually train themselves to sound professional.

Just a warning - watch out for these types, they’re pretty sneaky.

don’t trust this number, they called saying they were from natwest about some £1 NHS scam. next thing i know, they tried to take €999 from my bank! definitely a big scam, make sure you block this number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Barclays fraud dept. I told him I never take unexpected calls because of all the scams going around and that I’d ring Barclays myself. He just hung up right away. Funny thing, it was the same bloke who rang me on a number like this a couple of days ago. I asked him for proof of ID then and he dropped the call straight away too. Don’t fall for it - this guy’s a repeat scammer. Best to just thank them politely and ring Barclays yourself to sort it out.
