I received a call from a lady claiming to be with the fraud team at HSBC, insisting she was investigating unusual transactions on my account. Quite absurd really, given that I don’t even have an account with them!

I got a call from someone pretending to be HSBC's fraud team, but it was clearly a scam. They actually had loads of my personal details, which freaked me out. I didn't trust it at all, so I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away. Later, I rang up HSBC to double-check and found out I was right to be suspicious.

So i got a call from someone claiming to be with HSBC's fraud dept. Thought it sounded dodgy so i rang up the bank myself using the official number and turns out it wasnt legit at all. Definitely not from HSBC.
