I got the same call as everyone else mentioned here, a recorded voice saying to press 1 or they'd arrest me over tax stuff. When I did press 1, it connected me to someone overseas but the line was so bad I couldn’t catch what they were saying at all. Shame, I was kind of curious to hear what they had to say!

got a call from someone claiming to be the tax office, their tone was really pushy and not nice at all. i ended up hanging up straight away and blocked the number as well.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I owed £2600 in back taxes and there was an arrest warrant for fraud against me. They said if I didn’t pay straight away, they’d have to call the police. Total scam, no doubt. I just told them to get the police on the line and hung up. What a nasty experience. Honestly, these scammers should be stopped for good.

somebody called saying it was hmre and if i didn’t press 1 id get arrested for tax fraud. i hit 4 instead and straight away knew it was a scam when they started talking about me dodging taxes which makes no sense. as soon as i told them they’d got the wrong person since i don’t have a job and look after my partner, they hung up quickly.
