I got a call on my phone here in Bournemouth and decided to report it to the police through Action Fraud. Although it didn’t really bother me or scare me, I know it could frighten others. The caller sounded pretty convincing, honestly! If you get any calls or texts that seem like scams, especially if they’re pushing for money or personal details, I’d definitely recommend reporting them too!

I get loads of these calls all the time. They keep trying to act like they’re from BT or claiming they’re from HMRC, ringing both my mobile and landline. Honestly, don’t listen to anything they say, just put the phone down straight away. They’re just leeches trying to scam you.

I got quite worried because I had no idea about any warrant. When I pressed 1, a man answered, saying his name was Sam Parker and that he was an officer. He gave me a case number and a warrant ID, then asked me to confirm my address. Just got a call from this number a moment ago. Was wondering if it was one of those annoying PPI scam calls. I waited a few seconds, around 5 or 6, with no sound before saying hello. As soon as I spoke, the call ended right away. Definitely a spam or scam - best to ignore it altogether.

I went ahead and pressed 1, asking for the details. A guy with an Indian accent introduced himself as Sam Parker, gave me some officer number, a case number and a warrant ID.
