Got a robotic voice warning me I'd get nicked if I didn't hit 1. So I pressed it out of curiosity and got some woman with an Asian accent, badly breaking up on the phone like she was somewhere noisy, maybe a pub. She started asking for my postcode and stuff. When I told her no, she threatened I’d be thrown behind bars for ages. I just told her I’d ring HMRC myself. Definitely a dodgy scam, so I've blacklisted the number now.

Got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, telling me there's a tax fraud investigation on me. But I know HMRC don’t use automated recordings like that, plus the number they used, an 0345, isn’t one that the government normally uses. Guess it wasn’t the smartest move to try calling when I'm actually studying fraud myself.

Only about 15 minutes back, I got a call on my mobile from the same lot saying the exact same thing. Then, just a bit earlier, they rang me again but this time through Viber.
